  7. Alrighty with the preseason done and the regular season only a few short days away its time to start the Lock of the Week contest. Rules are pretty simple. 1. Every week you must pick a player that will score a touchdown. Thrown touchdowns don't count. Receiving, rushing, return (interception, fumble, punt and kick) count as a TD 2. There is no limit to the amount you can pick a player. If you want to pick Aaron Kelly every week than you can. 3. If you fail to correctly pick then you acquire a strike. If you correctly pick you do not pick up a strike. 4. If you miss making a pick for the week you will acquire a strike. 5. All picks must be made before kickoff of the team that your selected player is playing in. 6. 5 strikes and you are out of the game. 7. Last one remaining or the one with the least strikes at the end of the year wins. 8. In the highly unlikelihood that teams are tied at the end of the year. The winner will be the player who has selected the most different players thought the year. *Week 8 has the Argos playing twice you must select which game you are picking a Argo to score if you pick a Argo that week. Winner will receive a $50 Bomber store gift card Place your picks for week one below.
  8. I'm kinda interested in K/P Shott and LB Spoletini. Shott was kind of disappointing for me this pre-season, he's gotten a lot of hype the last few years as a guy BC was grooming to take over for McCallum. I'm guessing that plan has been scrapped to some degree. Looks like Anthony Daley made the Lions. He's a Winnipeg kid who played a couple years of junior in BC, 21 years old interior offensive lineman, was going to play for U of M this season if he didn't make the Lions. I hate that the Lions can claim any BCJFL player as their own, wish that the territorial rights went to the province where the player played midget/high school. Think that needs to be in next CBA is that junior players be draft legible.
  9. Forty Creek out of Alberta is my go to. Really smooth, as I get older finding that I slowly reducing the Pepsi and Coke I put in it. Now its mainly water and a splash of soda as I say just for colour. I am assuming one day it will be just water.
  10. I was hoping that the RB Anatolin was going to be cut If he is on the PR could force BC's hand and pick him up.
  11. I wonder who the token player will be that loses his mind over twitter about a cut this year?
  12. It's seems like starting week with Lulay injured I would only feel comfortable if I was Edmonton if the starting QB went down.
  13. As for Jackson he has come from one of the most successful junior program the last couple years has to count for something.
  14. Palardy cut looks like he won the job.
  15. That last throw sums it up. Five yards over wide open guy.
  16. He was only a 50% passer last year.
  17. Can't say the Bombers are being cheap in football operations anymore.
  18. Was a guest coach liked him so the kept him.
  19. They have added guest coach Dave Jackson to the staff as defensive quality control coach. Jackson had been defensive coordinator for the Regina Thunder. The @Wpg_BlueBombers have hired @ReginaThunder D-coordinator Dave Jackson to be their defensive quality coordinator #CFL #PFC @sportscage — Phil Andrews (@PhilAndrewsCKRM) June 20, 2014
  20. WR are a push with addition of Moore.
