  1. Just checked all the browsers I have available to me.  Can't see any problems, it's working for me in:

    Chrome 27.0.1453.110 m

    Firefox 20.0.1 and 21

    IE 10.0.9200

    Opera 12.15

...all for Windows 7 64 bit.

And also works beautifully on Android native browser and Chrome for Android.  Also was viewing on Safari on my iPad last night (iOS 6.1 I believe?) without any issues.

  2. I understand that the Police Dispatcher has to ask questions but it was getting to the point of being totally dangerous for the off duty RCMP officer & for the guy making the video. If that was a civilian trying to be a Good Samaritan, the "twenty questions" before sending a cop car out might have resulted in someone getting injured or killed. Just send out the police already to sort it out at the scene.Luckily, the guy was struggling but not very hard. I think that this could have ended a lot worse had it been another thief. Luckily it didn't. I'm not a law enforcement officer so maybe I'm out in left field here. I just thought the dispatcher didn't handle this right. What did the RCMP officers think about this?

Generally the cop car is sent out right away and the dispatcher keeps the caller on the line to continue gathering information.

  3. Settle down everyone.  Burke said Pencer has a shot at winning a tackle spot, not a starting tackle spot.  Remember that we usually carry 3 import tackles on the roster.  This just means Pencer could take that backup tackle position.  Highly doubt he's in the mix as a starter.

  4. QB's better watch themselves.  Not a lot of experience on that OL.  Left side in particular... should be interesting to see how they hold up.

Looks like Parker has the WILL spot locked up.  Brown vs. Wild for the 4-man/practice roster role that Parker filled last year as depth.

Last chance for some rookie DBs to make an impression.  Markett is leading the way as we know but I've also liked Bert Brown, eager to see if he can step his game up.  Huge opportunity for some of the young receivers who will get to play almost the entire game.

One of the new DE's better step up too, need someone to definitively grab that DI spot.  One thing is for sure, none of these guys will be able to say they didn't get a fair shot, they'll all have ample time to make an impression.

  5. When I was watching TC one day, Kowalczuk's snaps were just plain awful, they were all over the place. That said, he didn't seem too bad in the preseason game, and Dewit was injured for the majority of the time he was here. I guess that's just the way it goes. I know DelMonaco is a fan of Kowalczuk so that likely plays into it too.

  6. What I don't get is the Esks will lose money playing a single exhibition game in Fort Mac with all the logistics of having to get their equipment up there as well as having only a 5,000 seat venue. Guess the team has money to burn... errr...waste by going up there. They'd have been better off to reschedule that Esks home game to Moncton or just play 2 road games.& be done with it.

It is their territory... probably hoping to increase merchandise sales there by increasing interest and maybe even getting some fans to do the 3-4 hour drive to see some games. Never hurts to increase the team's visibility in the area outside the city.

  7. I don't think he makes anything happen when we need it the most.

He threw up a shitter in the Grey Cup during the 2011 season and wasn't around to redeem himself the following year because of injury after injury. I mean really, he makes it happen when we need it the most? How can I possibly agree with that after he rode an outstanding defense and a career day by Chris Garrett to the Grey Cup before failing to score a single touchdown until BC dropped into a prevent defense.

(BTW, just want to say threads like this make me glad we cut ties with the other site ... this is really good discussion)

    Good discussion, I agree.

Anyways, Pierce did ride Garrett to that victory.  And Elliott probably would have turned the ball over on a stupid play trying to be a hero and lost it for us.

Like I said though, I'm not even a big Pierce fan.  I was just really unimpressed with Elliott and I'm glad we moved on.  Hopefully we can get enough mileage out of Pierce that one of our backups has enough time to learn and rise to the occasion because honestly that's our only hope.

  8. But Pierce is a WINNER!!!!!! that guy left the team in so many holes last year when he got hurt it's not even funny and yet people still go on like he does only good things when he's out there and it's just the injuries that hold him back. Maybe in the past, but the pick 6 down the sideline has been a Pierce specialty for a while now.

Yeah you're right let's just stick with the losing QB who shows no signs of improving... simply because he will stay healthy.

    Brilliant.

  9. Either throw it where only the receiver can catch it or take a knee and we'll kick a field goal! It's not like it was some huge insurmountable flaw going on there, it was a young guy getting too hot and horny to put the ball in the endzone. Exactly the kind of thing that good coaching can remedy without too much difficulty. Like I said, if the guy can move the ball effectively for the length of the field but an issue only comes up when you get close to the goal line then that's so much easier to fix than guys who can't move the ball at all.

    Maybe, maybe not.

But Buck can move the ball, he's not completely useless as you guys are making him out to be.  He had a bad year, for sure... but he's a winning QB and he always has been.  Because he protects the ball and he can make **** happen when the team needs it most.

Look, I'm not happy we're stuck with Pierce again either, I think it's insane.  But I'd rather go with someone who has a chance to be good rather than a proven flop like Elliott.
