  1. Bob's Burgers is such an underrated show
  2. Yeah Draisaitl is a 50-point center but an 80-point winger with McDavid. Overpaid
  3. What question? Why didn't you address the rest of my post? If you want to talk then talk, don't take your ball and go home because I don't agree with you. My point is that I don't see any link between floods, wildfires, and other natural disasters in Canada and nothing you have provided has made that link. Warmer ocean temperatures causing more severe hurricanes, I can believe. But that's just one small part of the picture.
  4. I save the facts for the important stuff. But you'll have to further illustrate how wildfires and floods in Canada are affected by warmer ocean temperatures. I'm not seeing that link anywhere. Hurricanes are just one piece of the puzzle. And of course there have been no studies on how cooler ocean temperatures may incite extreme weather behaviour. If we reverse course and the oceans cool by a significant amount in a relatively short time, what would happen? Would extreme weather also result from that? It's hard to say, just going off your quote, because you didn't include a link and when I searched for the statement, I found it and it lacked any relevant citations to what exactly these "recent studies" were, who commissioned them, and what the conclusions were.
  5. Over. Depending on special teams.... how often we are on the PP and PK and if any of those guys will play a role on the PK. I'd expect Copp at least will be around 10 minutes. Less for Dano and Tanev.
  6. Far better deal than what Draisaitl got. Oilers suck.
  7. That's a long time for the champ to be absent.
  8. The part I have an issue with is this: There is very little scientific evidence that cutting greenhouse gases will "mitigate the catastrophic effects of wildfires, floods, and extreme weather events". I can get on board with reducing human impact on the environment, but the jump she is making with this statement is unsupported and irresponsible, IMO.
  9. Hey Marouf is back. I guess they just wanted to let him get healthy.
  10. That's true. Winnipeg is only the violent crime capital of Canada now.
  11. I actually noticed that with some CFL games too on the weekend. Possibly some technical changes at Shaw resulting in false messages on the Guide.
  12. This is incredible news!!!!
  13. Kinda like last year when they won a few in a row but didn't do anything the rest of the season.
  14. #29 Laine. And make sure you yell True North as well.
  15. Eichel has two seasons under his belt - 56 and 57 points. $10 million/season is an overpayment no matter how you spin it. But Buffalo had very little choice.... they needed to lock him down long term.
  16. Looks like Matthias has been moved to center on the fourth line and will play a role on the PK as well. We'll see what happens. Game Day, **** yeah!
  17. I would think it will be Copp on the third line with Lowry and Armia now that he is healthy.
  18. Laine's better
  19. Pretty sure Warner had 3 sacks in his first game back and then never got another one. And it may have been the bowling ball, Jerome Haywood, who took over at DT afterwards.
  20. MOP: Andrew Harris MOC: Andrew Harris MODP: Alex Singleton MOSTP: Roy Finch MOL: Stanley Bryant MOR: Richard Leonard In my opinion...
  21. Played div 2 football at a fairly dominant level before transferring to SIU for 2016 (Div 1-FCS). Threw a lot of passes, and completed most of them - 67.4% with 15 TD to 4 INT in 8 games. Good size - 6'2", 205 lbs. He's got a fairly interesting backstory: http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2016/sep/13/blanchette-coltons-josh-straughan-overcame-obstacl/#/0
  22. While Ricky Williams never lived up to the hype or the salary, I thought he was still an okay RB. Better than lots we've seen up here. 109 carries for 526 yards (4.8 YPC) in half a season. Not all-star numbers but not terrible.
  23. Puns and mental engagement do not go together!
  24. If Tanev can scrape together five goals, I see no reason why Armia/Lowry can't put together an additional 35. Both guys are capable of 15-20. Of course, you're never going to see a line stick together for a full 82 games anyways. I think Ray Ferraro put it best when he was a guest on 1290 the other day. If you have two dynamite scoring lines (and the Jets do), and your goal as a team this year is to reduce goals against moreso than increasing goals for, do you lean towards a 3rd line who can be more defensively responsible or one who can be more of an offensive threat? The answer is obvious... you go with defence-first. Now.... can Tanev be that defensively responsible player? I don't know the answer to that. Maybe.
  25. He has very little offensive skill. On the other hand he is still developing and his skating is excellent. If he can become a great penalty killer, he could be a long-term, low-cost asset for the Jets.
