I believe O'Shea will be back if they win a playoff game next year and he will be gone if they don't. Everything else doesn't really matter and won't factor into the decision.
-
You think you can suck me back in but little do you know I have ascended to a higher plane of consciousness and these petty squabbles no longer concern me
-
US looks really good but I have a hard time saying Canada can't beat them. Canada has a pretty good team. I think they made a couple bizarre choices on who to keep and who not to keep but still a very strong team.
-
I think they're just tired. This was a crazy stretch. They will come back better after the break.
-
I think the best is yet to come for Collaros.
-
Kurt Warner? Was he not the starter the entire season when the Rams won the Super Bowl? Other examples seem fair. But I wouldn't say their success was due to getting reps in practice. Brady took over early and Dilfer and Bradshaw both had incredible teams around them. You make a good point about quarterbacks going down temporarily and needing a backup to carry the mail for a bit.
-
True but how many teams have really succeeded when their starter has gone down, whether the backup was getting reps or not? If your starter is out for the season, you're not winning the championship, regardless of the league. I can't recall any backup QB ever winning a Grey Cup or Super Bowl but maybe someone can school me on that.

Game 36 : The Nonsuch @ The Mayflower
Atomic replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Yep, I was going to say, he looked exhausted by the end of the game. Needs some rest. He's going 100mph for over 20 minutes a night. -
You don't think Hutch will be back in the NHL? When I say soon enough I mean within a year. Probably never play for the Jets again but he will play for an NHL team next year.
-
Going on 12 years for Jovon. Incredible longevity for a CFL cornerback.
-
That takes balls.
-
Good for him. I imagine he must have been pretty good in the meeting room to last as long as he did as a professional. Because he was **** on the field.

Are we talking about troops here? Because the only way I see war happening with DPRK is if they launch something at the US... in which case the result isn't an American invasion of North Korea. It's a carpet-bomb annihilation. I don't see any scenario where USA occupies North Korea.
-
Context? Not sure what makes these releases anything extraordinary...
-
No doubt DPRK and Trump are both lunatics who would go to war with each other. But if it came down to it... really came down to it... I don't think China really has DPRK's back. The value of USA as a trade partner is too massive. The economies of USA and China are heavily intertwined. Allying with DPRK gives China a geographical asset but that's about it. It just wouldn't be worth it.
-
China will not go to war against USA.
-
Bridge put up some impressive numbers but I'd like to see how he does in a string of 6-10 consecutive starts... let teams get more familiar with him and see if he can still be successful.
-
There's something ironic about people Trump's age lamenting that there is something wrong with the younger generation.
-
Awesome. I got paid for something you posted before... class-action suit against a RAM maker or maybe it was batteries. Maybe both. Add this to the list! Thanks.

And today on MBB Weston Dressler was compared to Donald Trump because he visited a cancer patient in the hospital.
-
I know. I just wanted to add that this is very different because it is a legitimate head coach who has experienced some success in the professional ranks. Dan Hawkins was just a bizarre hire that everyone knew wasn't going to work. An NCAA coach turned broadcaster.
-
It did but it's not a magic bullet to cure all his problems.
-
IMO you want your best interior lineman at LG and that would be Chungh
-
I think Mike Sherman brings a little more legitimacy to the table than Dan Hawkins. Hawkins had never coached pro football before in his life.
-
They could have done a lot worse. I like this move better than bringing in a guy like Danny Barrett or Gary Crowton. But as with all the guys who come up from the States.... you never really know how they're going to adapt. Pretty good chance this is another disastrous year in Montreal but I'm interested to see how this plays out.
