I'd say the Jets of the past few years have been mediocre. The Wild were the highest scoring team in the West last year. Not mediocre.

On one hand that's unbelievably racist, on the other hand, a Korean-looking woman would undoubtedly be received better by NK than a woman of another race. So it's a tug-of-war between being politically correct and diplomatically shrewd. Ideological vs. practical.

All guys who have dominated at the AHL level. It's difficult to compare league-to-league, of course, because they never actually play against each other. But it is pretty well-accepted that the KHL is a higher level than the AHL. The KHL tends to make big money offers to top AHL guys who are no longer on NHL deals. I'm sure the two leagues are close in talent level but I'm fairly confident saying KHL is a cut above.

There were still complications with the 'Knights' name. London owns the rights to it in Canada (OHL team) and although it could be used in the US, they could potentially face opposition from the University of Central Florida Knights.

Not so sure about that. The level of play in the KHL is easily higher than the AHL and most of these guys are KHL players and in some cases KHL star players. Then again the Moose are the best team in the AHL. Would be interesting.

I'm all for bashing Buffalo but I don't think it's fair to say Armia was on a downward trajectory. He was playing well in his second year in the AHL at the time of the trade.

Depends what you mean. Like enforce an age limit on the tournament? Or just Canada sends the juniors while other teams are free to send pros? Because the team that Canada is sending would dominate the gold medal winning juniors. The best of the AHL/KHL/Euro leagues would stomp any junior team.
