All sarcasm aside, it's week 2, and offenses always take more time to gel than defenses, so maybe lets chill out and relax and stop wetting our panties and see where were at say week six or seven, like any half brained football observer would do, yes??

I fault Crowton a fair share tonight. 1st half we had great success with quick hitters and slant patterns to counter the blitz, yet never went back to it in the 2nd half. It's not like Montreal did anything to take that away from us.

The first 10 minutes will be huge. It's their home opener so of course they will be wanting to come out early and keep the momentum going. We need to survive the opening push from them, and ideally even counter it.

Everyone who knows the CFL game well knows the linebacker spot Hefney plays with Calgary is not a typical linebacker. Yes he is closer to the LOS, but he still has about 95% of the responsibilities of anyone in the secondary. Hefney with a lot of tackles IS NOT an indicator he played well, and as Mike mentioned, he got taken to school on the TD he was burnt for.

Tough start for Edmonton so far. Defense looks awful. Seen nothing out of Reilly up to this point that would justify going balls to the wall for a guy thats attempted 77 passes in his CFL career.

Lulay has also made him looked stupid a number of times when he has run with the ball.

Burke apparently told the local media that JT Gilmore and Rene Stephan will be out for the next month because of injuries sustained in last night's game.

Great decision. Doug Brown wrote an article a year or two ago that said something to the affect of that the current generation of Bomber fans have grown up with the Eastern rivalries with the exception of Saskatchewan. One of the divisions has to have an uneven amount of teams, and it might as well be the East. I know for myself personally, I much look forward to our games with Toronto, Hamilton and Montreal than those against BC, Calgary and Edmonton.
