I always get the most laughs when Lawless spouts opinion as fact. Highly enjoyable. No mention whatsoever about the offense taking a major nosedive as Will got hurt worse and worse. No mention of the DL falling off with injury as well. Not everything has to be so black and white. There's a lot of room with shades of grey here....

I thought they clarified that Old Man River was getting the call.....but man, I'd still love to see Durant come back and get absolutely clobbered out there. Actual quality honest reporters never make it to the big time. Companies don't want honesty, they want sensationalism. That's why I don't miss broadcasting. I've carved out a solid little 12 year career (...so far...) being BRUTALLY honest at all times. Sometimes, you just have to be good enough at your job...

Perhaps some people can't afford it. People do have lives beyond football. For the Bombers, it's approximately once every 10 years, and you get more than a year's notice. Budget, save your pennies...it's not THAT expensive. I would do just about anything to be at a Grey Cup if it's in my town. Hell, I'm coming 13 hours next year for GC and I don't even really care who's going to be in it, because the GC is being played in my "home" city.........any opinion different than mine is wrong. Or, at least, much less of a CFL fan......

I will never understand how people can call themselves CFL fans, and NOT go to the Grey Cup when it's in your back yard. It is unfathomable to me......just full on Error 404: Does Not Compute........

Did the defense get worse because of Etch? ...Or did the defense get worse because we lost too many starters and didn't have the depth to replace them?

I wish Durant WAS starting, so Willis and the Esks D could do permanent damage. Once Durant is toast, that organization is so screwed. I love Brendan Taman, but that poor bastard can't find QBs to save his life...

And yet, Dave -- of ALL PEOPLE -- has been able to come around on the idea of it. He was one of the most vocal about not wanting Etch here in the first place, but was able to see that the defense really wasn't the problem this year. If Dave can change his mind about something, anyone can.....even curmudgeonly old Iso Al....

Ray was a default option because there was absolutely nobody in the East worthy of the nomination. Elimimian in a landslide.

I'm not averse to bringing him back at all...unless you can definitively prove to me that we're bringing in someone better.

Getting as much as he did out of a depleted Bombers defense is actually quite admirable. When that D was 100% healthy, it was pretty damn good (see: Bombers at BC in July...)
