  1. So Kelly dinged, and looking like Brett Carter might draw in. Also Paris Cotton back in...returning kicks today. Will he see touches as tailback?
  2. hmmm...well that's no good...
  3. "Fitzy"....love the guy...
  4. Loved this...so awesome to see.
  5. we mock the AFL, yet those guys have a video game, and we don't.......sigh.
  6. ...not only used, but used properly! ....I like words...
  7. Tait is king, no question. In Hollywood, they talk of actors being an "everyman"....Tait is "every reader". He really is just one the boys, and personifies his target audience. One of the great keys of any media is understanding your audience. I'm not sure anyone "gets" their audience the way Tait does. I read his articles and think "I'd just like to sit and have a beer with the guy and bullshit about sports"... ...Now, I say this, and he's going to laugh at me because he does skulk around these boards...
  8. No word yet from the Stamps on who's starting at tailback eh? *edit* Looks like Cornish still not even ready to practice, so likely not starting this week. ...I'll take Grigsby again...
  9. is a team-imposed suspension different than a league-imposed suspension, though? Need to find out why Brown figures fines are better than suspensions. Maybe "max fine" is more money than a game cheque?
  10. Paul Wiecek ‏@PaulWiecek 5m #Bombers HC Mike O'Shea says S Maurice Leggett has a bad ankle and is questionable for Friday night in MTL. #bn
  11. Oh please...everyone knows about that stuff. Hell, Wes Lysack used to be a member of the boards and told us about seeing the girl-on-girl action at Chez Paris in Montreal. That 2005-era team was legendary partiers.....
  12. I can't remember why but Brown was talking about the Hebert club on Cornish and said that fines are more harsh than suspension. Not sure why but hopefully someone has some insight.
  13. Actually Doug Brown was saying that max fines is the best way to send message because its money out of pocket.
  14. Based on the speed of the play, there was no way for Willis to do any more than he did to avoid a bad play. The legal area to hit a guy is getting so small, there's almost nowhere to hit the guy that doesn't result in a penalty...
  15. Definition of Calgarys sports fan community....
  16. well, there goes my Fantaseh team...
  17. I said in the chat last night "Grigsby's gonna get raped in film review this week"....there's gonna be an awful lot of bad tape on him.
  18. This has to be a troll thread.....gotta be. I ain't biting...
  19. tried blocking both Nate and Griller in Chat, and no luck...damn shame 'cause otherwise a lot of fun!
  20. Looked brutal. I had something relatively similar happen playing baseball, when I went to barehand a ground ball and it didn't turn out too well. Snapped fingers back, and while it didn't break 'em, they were in a splint for awhile. I can only imagine how much worse it was for DW, 'cause they REALLY bent backward.
  21. he said on TSN immediately after the game "I'm on a lot of drugs right now, so we'll see how it is later"...hoping that it's not massively black and blue this morning (his hand)...
  22. When they had 21 on the board in the first 3 possessions, I said "This is a direct result of having no film on these guys"...so they were forced to adjust as they went...same story on O. But a tip of the cap to both co-ordinators who have the smarts to recognize what they're seeing, and adjust FAST. I doubt we have this problem with Montreal next week...
  23. Greaves, January and Willy all hurt....January came back and Willy took a lot of drugs (according to him, on TSN after the game) to numb his hand so he could throw. Goosen came in to play Guard for Greaves, and Jake Thomas lined up at TE to beef up blocking without Greaves in there...
  24. I tend to look at it as "If Grigsby's seeing this much production because of MB's offense, then what would Cotton be doing??" ...because Cotton's just a far superior back, in all facets. Looking forward to both Ford and Cotton getting healthy so we can have legit choices at RB, and not just "Only Guy Who's Healthy"...
  25. Praying Willy's hand heals for the Montreal game. Or they can at least numb it. He was on a TON of demurral at the end of the game, apparently...
