The arrogance of some people to think that of he's not telling the media and fans what's going on, then he's not being accountable. What makes MOS a great coach, and one that players want to play for, is that he's accountable in private, and doesn't throw people under the bus publicly.
Exactly. 17 to 85 seems to have this erroneous reasoning that by keeping a Berry or Mack with the organization for a sufficient period of time it will bear fruit in the form of long-term success. In reality, patience will not be rewarded by tolerating mediocrity year after year - it will just result in more mediocrity. Every team in the league won't tolerate losing for very long (proven if you take the time to review each team's history) - they will fire the personnel responsible for the team's underachievement and move on to new coaching/management.
The Bombers have been mediocre for so long because they have hired inexperienced/inept coaches and management the past decade plus. It has nothing to do with not showing adequate patience for the inept coaching/personnel.
Which, I'd argue, we had no choice but to do because no qualified/experienced coach/manager wants to come here because we are a coaching graveyard that fires people constantly and shows zero patience...
I'm good with the whole 3 Year Plan thing. Gotta give these guys time continue building. With Drew Willy healthy and playing, this team is as good as anyone. I truly believe that.
I'm an Iso fan from message boards long ago, but if I still get that worked up about things as trivial as sports when I'm that age, then my life has gone horribly horribly wrong...
So is Barley Bros *the* place to watch away games? Curious if there's an official spot to go. Heading back from the lake today to watch the game and looking for a good spot in the city....
Oooh. My nipples are hard....
Did I miss the Lemon signing?
I was going to say the same thing. I don't remember us signing Lemon yet. Don't jump the gun guys. Also Brohm on and starting, with Marve being injured...
Actually I agree with you MOS may just go with Brohm they are probably practicing scooping the ball off the turf as we speak. Whole new meaning to hit the turf! Can you say rug burn?Brohm was decent vs Calgary last year until he got hurt. I'm not sticking up for him but really give him the reps and see what he does with it.And that's still the only time he had starters reps for a week of practice, right? Every other time he's played, he came in cold off the bench...
Guy was a hell of a bird dog tho. Found some of the best Imp talent that clubs ever seen. Combine that with Walters work at the draft.....problem again tho is trading picks so we have nothing to draft with.
