I can't stress enough... The "over the top" thing Kate is doing... It's not her... It's the producers. They're telling her to lean into that because they think it works. I'm 99% sure if you met her IRL, she'd be super reserved and chill (most media people have to be so amped up to be on air, that when you're off air, you come WAY down, to the point of almost depressed). So all I'm saying is it's highly unlikely she's making this choice. It's TSN telling her to do it.

It's not that Kate thinks this or that.... It's just a gimmick that the producers are making her do. It's an act and they seem to think it's entertaining.

Is the mic-ed up half hour show TSN does reaching anyone? I personally don't care for it, but again, it's not about reaching me. I'm already there. I'm curious if anyone else (especially younger) is into that particular feature...

It's true... Radio is reaching the market that already exists. It's the same philosophy for booking half time shows... You're not appealing to the market you already have. You need to bring in the audience that isn't there... TikTok for marketing, and some hot young pop star that nobody over 40 has heard of for your half time show...

It wouldn't surprise me if they're buddies. Hofer is from Manitoba (clearly) and they're both devout Christians, from my understanding, so it wouldn't surprise me if they know each other well and were just ******* with each other...
