  1. Ecstatic about this. My mother in law is in LTCH because of MS (she's only 63, but functions essentially like an 80 year old...******* MS...) and will be among the first to receive in AB. It's really the only thing I wanted for Christmas.
  2. Yep it's been like this for a long time, for sure...
  3. I thought the pool seeding had something to do with how you finished the year prior.... No?
  4. Fully expect the Bombers to stroke several names off their list this week...
  5. Petermann would start on basically any other team. It says a lot about our receiver depth that he's not starting.
  6. Ehhhhhhhh I wouldn't go down that road. Gretzky would be successful in any era because he's smarter than anyone else who's ever played the game. He would ALWAYS find a way to beat you. Same with Flutie.... Flutie in the CFL was like Gretz in the NHL. They would be better than anyone in any era because they're smarter than anyone else.
  7. More than a few guys banged their shin in The Stove and learned a lesson....
  8. I was pretty good with your list until I saw Stove as a C. He's a B verging on A. Humongously important. I'm also tempted to move McAllister to a B, as well. I'd put BA37 as an A. Exume as a B. Josh Johnson a B. Shayne Gauthier is a B at best.
  9. I'm a big believer that each generation is better than the one previous. Better health, better training... They just know so much more about how to do things now. Smarter about how to play the position. I agree that Flutie was ridiculous, but Kelly's statement reeks of an old man who thinks everything was better during his time.
  10. random discussion point:
  11. Alberta announced its vaccine rollout "plan" this afternoon. Long term care residents and front line workers get it between Jan-March. Summer will see general senior population get it. Everyone else, not till September at the earliest. Keep wearing your masks and distancing... We're a long way from over this thing.
  12. Know tons of people that have had it. Some with mild symptoms, some with life threatening illness. Late 40s woman with no underlying conditions was scared she was going to die. It was that bad. Happened to them in July and they're still seeing symptoms. It's incredibly scary stuff that you do NOT want any part of. Wear your mask, keep your distance, wash your hands, and stay healthy....
  13. I remember reading a thing back in March/April, when this first all went down, about the scientists working on the vaccine. It said, essentially, "It's like a hockey team full of Connor McDavid's and Sidney Crosby's all shooting at the same goal. Good things will happen and they'll happen fast. Never before have all the smartest people in the world been working together on a common goal..."
  14. Exactly this. It's like the people who say masks GIVE you covid, because cases have gone up since mandates were implemented.... Which ignores that they'd be up WAY MORE of you didn't have the mask.
  15. Rogers is going to bulldoze the Sky Dome and build a big fancy new park on the same spot. Working with government on a plan now..... interesting, as SD isn't THAT old, but they definitely could use something a little more modern.
  16. I could write a novel on this bullshit we've seen from Kenney during this pandemic. As bad as you guys think Pallister is, Kenney is like the devil. With the highest case counts in Canada and people dying at an astonishing rate, he came out for his presser and said "We're going the bare minimum, because shutting down the economy would be even worse" than what's currently happening. I was aghast. It was pure Trump-ian nonsense...
  17. He's got a history with BC and there'll be a GM opening whenever they can afford it. It's weird to suggest Kyle would be leaving for any reason... The Trinity have a job in Winnipeg as long as they want it.
  18. that is an absolutely MASSIVE loss for us.....yikes. Wonder who we'll replace him with, if anyone....
  19. Hasn't been mentioned yet, but the first First Nations NHL player, Fred Sasakamoose, died yesterday because of COVID. Terrible...
  20. I understand your point, but I don't like celebrating "NFL success" as some sort of measurement for the CFL. **** that league and everything about it. When we talk about the best of all time in our league, it's about our league and what was accomplished here.
  21. I don't know a lot about the whole "Vaccine Passport" idea, but I like the idea in theory. Basically to do anything, go anywhere, gain access to an event.....you need to prove you've been vaccinated. Love that idea and hope it comes to fruition.
  22. Hmmm... I was sure Geroy was all but given that job. Interesting. That's one way to reduce their administrative costs...
