As posted yesterday, TJ Miller, speaking on behalf of the Canucks players, said they are nowhere near ready to play professional hockey. Some of these guys were in REALLY bad shape a week ago. They can't be expected to just get up and play right away, regardless of what money is on the line. They had a conference call with the NHL/NHLPA earlier today and thankfully common sense prevailed.... they will post-pone the 'Nucks games for a bit longer yet.

Actual CFL news?? By gar, it's been awhile! ^^ that above quote is straight outta the Mike O'Shea handbook..... Also, re: 2021 season..... https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/video/what-next-week-s-bog-meeting-means-to-the-future-of-the-2021-cfl-season~2182003 important part of above: Team reps are meeting daily, and there is a board of governors meeting on Tuesday, after which they're expected to announce the delay of the start of the season. Lalji believes they do not want just an open-ended "season is postponed indefinitely" statement, and are instead wanting to have a hard confirmation of when exactly they will get going, barring another emergency...

Not a huge fan of either of those guys, personally... Didn't really care for Hnidy either. Thought he was overrated. Give me Ferraro or Debrusk or nothin'... Two best in the league. (Darren Pang an underrated - in Canada - analyst as well...)

Lewis is exactly the kind of guy you need to win a Cup...

Starting to look a bit more like it should... Against the free space on the bingo card...

This is not the rebound game you'd like to see from the Jets. Big yikes from me.
-
that pass from Ehlers while falling and on the backhand....that is something special.
-
they'll be better tonight for sure. Even with Brossy in net, I'm expecting a whoopin' tonight.

Yeah, it's really a shame there's been so much mixed-messaging re: AZ from the get-go because it's a very good vaccine to get (ANY vaccine is a good one to get) but people got caught up in "the efficacy is lower than Pfizer/Moderna, therefore it's not as good" and "blood clots!!11!" which are extremely rare. I would have absolutely no problem taking AZ if that's what's offered. I've seen the line "The best vaccine to get is whichever one is offered to you when it's your turn" a lot, and that's 100% accurate. Just get the ******* jab, regardless of what it is.

Yeah, one dose is like 80% effective against severe outcomes right? It's not perfect, but it's a good start.

Ya my mom, who's 63 this year, phoned the day she was eligible and got the needle that evening after work in Selkirk. It sort of depends on where you are, I think...

While we're merging...... I'll renew my petition to merge the NFL thread in this forum with the one in Gen Forum (where it should be)

We're seeing it in AB right now. Lotta selfish assholes all across this country for sure.

here's hoping...there is absolutely nothing I want more.

As I said... Jets were garbage tonight. Can't remember the last time I saw them give up that many breakaways and odd man rushes. Helle gave up a couple of stinkers, but you should be able to overcome it when playing Ottawa.

Jets have been badly outplayed for a lot of this game. Cripes.

Benn is basically Forbort insurance.....which, as it shouldn't, doesn't cost much....

there was lots of chatter on #COVID19MB today about Roussin talking about how they're seeing spread via house parties, kids sleepovers, and other in-house gatherings which are strictly banned right now. Just insane to me that people can't hold on a couple more months...

fLames finally rid themselves of the mess that is Sam Bennett. Off to FLA for 2nd round pick and a prospect....

Stanley needs to learn how, first. Tkachuk is going to fight dirty and would probably school Baby Huey. Stanley has all the potential to be tough the way that Chara is tough...but he needs to learn how. Buddies and I were saying on the weekend that Stanley desperately could have used a guy like Buff to teach him how to "strut"....be a big guy that KNOWS he's a big guy. I still think Stanley is a bit too timid...not cocky enough about the fact that he's a beast.

not sure what Roussin has said for you guys, but our CMOH in AB has talked a lot about wearing masks outdoors now because they're discovering more and more variant transmission outdoors. It's very airborne and not just droplets, as with the original strain. I've taken to wearing a single reusable mask outdoors, and I double mask (with a disposable as base layer) when I go into a business (which is extremely limited for me...groceries once a week on Sundays)

apparently on the way to Edmonton shortly.....says TSN.....

this is a "no thanks" from me, if I'm Chevy......
