This is a worthwhile 9 minutes, but even after having watched this, I still don't know what the right answer is. Enjoy Canadian-based teams playing American football because it's better than nothing, or let the league die an honourable death because everything meaningful would be dead in a merger anyhow....

Until everyone is vaccinated, I'd keep everything as locked down as they possibly can. We've made it this long, we can last another few months. The good news is that the vaccines appear to be very capable against the new variants. Just have to buy time until we can administer enough vaccines...

There's just so much I enjoy about this tweet....

Why would anyone in the US go watch these games?
-
They'll get er back... Habs are trash. **** these guys.

Good to see some hustle to start. Montreal is **** and this shows the Jets saying "we're embarrassed to lose to these assholes"... Pump these fuckers.
-
thanks a lot assholes....you sent me down a YouTube rabbit hole of WWE Attitude Era matches....
-
But someone on here said that XFL doesn't have money because "Vince has way more money than The Rock"......LOL! Of all the ******* things...
-
If the variants aren't controlled by the vaccines (so far, so good, but.....) we're absolutely ******...

hmmmm....Pionk was good, but new. I really thought Morrissey was our best D last year, and this year had a bit of a stumble...
-
I don't remember Morrissey being bad last year....I thought he was far and away our best D last season...?

so something called the United Football Players Association took to Twitter to say that they've been told the CFL is planning on scrapping the 2021 and 2022 seasons, and would come back as part of some joint entity with XFL after that. Immediately, CFL "insiders" (Lalji, Naylor, etc...) refuted it and said it went completely against everything they've heard. The CFL then released a statement:
-
**** everything about that organization and the separate set of rules they get to abide by, because apparently they're so important to the long term health of the league. Fart noises. I hope they're forced to cut half the guys they signed this off season...

Smelly turd of a game for the Jets. Best to flush it and on to the next one...

intrigued to see what exactly this looks like. I'm born and raised in Pinawa, and one interesting thing about the town is, they signed a deal with the government back in the early 60s that Pinawa would always be it's own school division and can never be amalgamated. So while everything around it is part of Agassiz SD, Pinawa, with it's 2 schools, remains part of the Whiteshell SD, all by its lonesome. The government has been trying for years to amalgamate it with Agassiz, but the contract was signed and can't be broken....or so I'm told. I'm sure it drives conservative "small government" governments crazy...

**** everything about Canadian Men's Curling right now. Manitoba...the greatest curling province of all time....is a complete shambles. Until that gets fixed to the point where it's like the Scotties, and we're sending 5 teams that are contenders, I'm going to be angry. And the best curler we've produced in at least a decade, is skipping the Gappers (of all ******* provinces) until at least after the Trials. I'm still hopeful that he comes home if they don't win the Trials, and skips a new team with a bison on his back, as it should be.

This has crossed my mind a couple times. The outrage across the country acting as some sort of "see how much people care about us???" motivation. Definitely crossed my mind.

Carbon Tax is not the boogey man people think it is. Honestly it's going to be commonplace for years in every country.

This Jets team can absolutely win the North of they stay healthy. I have absolutely no clue how they match up with the rest of the league, but absolutely they can win the north.

You gotta stick around at least long enough to talk me off the ledge during any potential XFL merger.....

I will never forget the hand made "billboard" (a bed sheet across two sticks) that was spray painted "A VOTE FOR THE LIBERALS IS A VOTE FOR THE DEVIL" that was set up at a major intersection in Winkler when I first moved there in 2006 (it was shortly after Harper's first win)... That told me everything I needed to know about Manitoba South of the Trans Can. It was a weeeeeeird year and a half down there....

You're close, but it was Cuthbert on CBC during a playoff game in Calgary in.... I believe 1986..... Otherwise your version is exactly what happened.
