  1. Canada Day parties like this country hasn't seen since VE Day.......
  2. first things first...... the entire roster is staying at the Sutter Ranch to chore and calve for the rest of the season.....
  3. THIS....is a CFL telecast, right here....
  4. D-Sutts is a good coach, but has a short shelf life. His welcome wears out very quickly. But....can he take a team with some talent and get more out of them fast? Likely. As a Jets and Oilers fan.....this sucks.
  5. that crew of Schultz, Dunigan and Climie with Randorf on the TSN panel will always be THE one for me. Absolutely love those guys together. Heartbreaking that he's gone this soon. Far, far too young...
  6. Honestly more than life in general, just give me some f***ing CFL......
  7. I was thinking about you today when they were announcing the fast tracking... Figured you'd be up soon. It honestly doesn't matter what vaccine you get. Just take what's offered and get er done.
  8. That was my big take away from all of this.... As long as numbers stay consistently low, I can see them allowing fans again. Especially in AB where they just love being a lab rat for this sorta thing...
  9. So I'm not sure where exactly MB is at with their vaccine rollout, but AB announced this afternoon that, by delaying second doses, every adult will be vaccinated by the end of June. They are going to be accepting the Astra Zeneca vaccine and giving it to people under 65 starting Wednesday next week. They'll be doing 50-64 year olds over the next month or so. Things really getting going now!
  10. similarly......... I'm a massive fishing fanatic, and there's a really great Facebook Live "Podcast" called The Casting Deck that a group of Winnipeg guys do every week. It's not the GREATEST thing of all time, but it's pretty good, if anyone else is into that sorta thing....
  11. Love this... I'm gonna tune in for sure.
  12. also worth mentioning, while American players are here...they're paying Canadian taxes.
  13. the gist was, there was an emergency situation where Wheeler had to use a 55 stick, and really liked it and he's stuck with it ever since...
  14. I have virtually the entire 2019 season on my PVR and watch fairly regularly. There are many, many examples of Nichols throwing deep. I absolutely do not buy that he was ever "scared" of doing that. The offense was designed with a lot of check-downs. Part of that is Andrew Harris, part of it is just Lapo. But it's absolutely untrue that Nichols couldn't or wouldn't go deep, and I don't think that guy is scared of anything...he took a pounding.
  15. Accuracy was not a problem for Nichols. Lack of arm strength, also, was greatly exaggerated. Nichols biggest flaw was being injury prone...
  16. something to keep an eye on: The Edmonton Oilers have sent a 50 page document to Alberta Health Services, outlining their request to have ~15% fan attendance toward the end of the regular season, and if it goes well, to have that increased for playoffs. Would act as a sort of Canary In The Coal Mine for the CFL.....Again, something to keep an eye on.....
  17. "outside of Quebec everyone is friendly to all races and cultures..." Indigenous Canadians: "HA!"
  18. BBT was a fantastic show until they decided that everyone needed to be in a relationship. Lame. When it was just the nerds and the one chick, it was really really funny. I always say the best years for that show were when Sara Gilbert was a semi-regular performer on the show.
  19. I was really late to Breaking Bad, but enjoyed that. It's a tough watch at some points...way too dark for me...but I powered through. I've enjoyed Better Call Saul on Netflix as well. My wife and I re-binge How I Met Your Mother every single year. Far and away our favourite show of all time.
  20. Jesus Christ, iHeart...... making my brain hurt on this board every single day.
  21. Good for Einar...she's fantastic. Some people questioned whether a team of 4 skips could make it work, but they definitely did. I still feel like this team is winning in spite of Val Sweeting and they could do better at the 3rd position, but they're getting it done regardless. Shame that Jonesy **** her pants in the tie breaker, but that's how she goes sometimes. Manitoba's women's curling future is extremely bright with a number of good teams. On to the Brier now, starting Friday, where Manitoba's men's division is not so bright. A couple of "just okay" teams and the best curler we've produced in at least a decade, Matt Dunstone, is skipping the dirty Gappers...what a shame.
  22. Buck as an analyst is sensational. One of the best in the league. Buck as PBP (with Tabler) is not good...
  23. He's a troll folks... Let it go.
  24. The big ones... Lotta money grubbing assholes.
  25. Shulman and Buck are the best broadcast tandem in baseball. I'd listen to those guys BS and tell stories any day...
