I'm actually glad they're being honest about this now. So many people thought this was going to be over in a matter of weeks. Anyone who read even a little bit about this in the early going knew it was going to be years. People really have to accept the idea of "a new normal". Masks, distancing, etc.... the way we're living (or SHOULD be, if you're not a moron) is how we'll be living for a long time to come. Again, the Jets missed Scheiffele (arguably their best player) for most of the game, and Laine (arguably their best scorer and most important PP player) for part of it. It's not like Calgary is a better team or anything. The Jets are just way too shallow to handle those two injuries.

Winnipeg has a hybrid team. There's some size, but there's also speed. They're not the team from a couple years ago that was massive and would check teams into submission, but they still have some size for sure. A lot of the talking heads are putting too much stock into the fact that Pionk had a rough outing vs Van. He was a really really nice addition for the team this year, and once they shake off the rust, he's going to be just fine.
