In fairness, Fleury missed in the 10th,giving Jones an absolute gimme open nose hit for the win, and Jones pooched it by throwing too light and over curling, then losing the shooter and only getting one. In the extra, Jones set up a steal really well and Fleury was inside on her last and rubbed the guard. A lot of misses in this game, as there generally is with women's curling, but was an entertaining game throughout.

I think I'd take Weineke on the Bombers pretty much any day of the week. Guys a gamer...

And honestly I think they have the most talent of any East team and best coaching. But man today they're ass. That's been the East Div in a nutshell this year. Inconsistency.

He's a dummy.... Prime candidate to punch a guy at the bottom of a pile, or twist a knee or something greasy like that.

Got some legit football weather in the Hammer. Rare for them. Pretty sloppy game so far... Lots of penalties aiding this Mtl drive.

It really doesn't matter who we face next week. Neither is a better or worse match up for us. Both West Semi teams are garbage, IMO.

Provincial pride is everything in curling. I hate the cashspiels where provincial association doesn't matter. Also hate guys/girls curling out of province. Blech. That's probably my favourite thing about curling...the provincial rivalry of it all. Absolutely ******* love that Saskatchewan's entire curling scene is a ******* mess. They have no good ladies teams and one mediocre men's team that's only as good as it is because of the Manitoban skipping.

Mike's 2010 team is the best team to never win a Brier. They were insanely good...probably the best team in the world at that time. But he had a major mind-**** at the Select each year, losing to much worse teams like Fowler, Stoughton or even Reider. Such a shame that they were never able to get over the hump. I think that team gets blown up good this spring after the season is done. Olympic quadrennial is over, so I think they blow it up, 'cause it ain't working. We've got a lot of really great young men's curlers coming up the pipeline, and hopefully we're not too far away from a Brier winner...

Don't ask about the Men's Division.....what a ******* **** fest that is. The best MB men's curler is skipping a rink out of The Gap. Physically sick about it.

If memory serves, there used to be a "2 for 1" coupon in those "Book Of Gold" coupon books that came out each year, so I'd get to go to at least one Bombers and one Jets game, and at least once we did both games in the same day. I remember being very young in the endzone seats for a Sean Salisbury game and everyone screaming "Deeee Feeeeeense..... Deeeeeeee Feeeeeeeense...." and then hopping across the street for a Jets/Oilers game. It is definitely a good idea to get kids involved however you can...

There's almost no one in the league unvaccinated anymore. There were less than 5 before the season started...

I saw a headline today about how Duke being in the line up means they can "really take advantage of the full benefit of Fajardo's arm"..... And they meant it as a good thing!

I know this is a Bob Appreciation Thread (as it should be!) but I just wanted to say I really miss CBC CFL broadcasts. I got down a rabbit hole around 1am last night (this morning?) watching Bombers playoff recap videos. Steve Armitage is not a great PBP man, but damn those were fun broadcasts.

Just a matter of time until it's found here. Hope we're doing everything we can to mitigate the damage. Wouldn't surprise me at all if we went right back to the beginning of the pandemic, in order to prevent total catastrophe....

I don't think you can just let every kid in for free with a paid adult admission....without some major corporate help. You'd just lose way too much money. But hopefully they can do something SIMILAR next year.

Honestly, Trotz is the only guy I'd have confidence on any of the teams I cheer for...
