Love Maurice...always have, always will. Great hockey mind, great orator on hockey. I think he's a leader of men. But every coach is hired to eventually be fired one day. At some point, every coach turns into Charlie Brown's Teacher, and you need a new voice to get their attention again. Such a shame...Winnipeg just lost a really good one.

I'm gonna wait till I see what kind of roster we're able to afford til I scream about us pounding teams next year, but I have a lot of faith that whatever we put on the field is going to be damn good and a consensus favourite to at least win the division next year.

Thanks for that, J! After feeling pressured by SpeedFlex buying a flex pack for next year, the wife and I are thinking we'll do the same. Flights are cheap, so it's easy to fly in and out for a weekend a few times per summer...just gotta pick the games.

Yeah, we can't keep honouring him forever. At some point, you turn the page and it's a new era, which is what he'd want. He went out with a storybook ending, and now it's time for the next gen. I have my thoughts on who will be calling Bombers games next year, but I'm interested to see how it all ends up going. It'll never be the same, but best of luck to the next one for sure.

Wah55... good dude, who is responsible for Charlie Roberts becoming a Bomber. Should have had Frito, as well, but narrowly missed on that. He (Wah) was Taman's connection at Sac State... Can't forget chuckdiesel1 and MikeSellers, who both popped on here and there.... but Kamau and Stanford Samuels (SammySam) were the most active during those times. It was directly because of that, that The Extra Point came into existence. They didn't want their players going on this random fansite....wanted something that was directly run/moderated by the team.

Darren and Lee are both great guys....thankful for a social media friendship with both of them. Snarky as ****, and I love it.

in fairness, the Molly Whopped thing started with Milt on the TSN panel, then I think I started using it after that, and it sorta caught on with a few of us......so DT *MAY* have got it from Milt...

I've been DMed as a somewhat "representative" of this site (I guess because I'm also media) to get a bit of insight as to why people feel a certain way about a certain topic...... as much of a mouthpiece as I can be at times, I definitely have toned it down somewhat because I know at least some of who all is lurking on here.

If people knew who all read this site, the things they say would probably change in a hurry. Virtually all of the Winnipeg based CFL writers are lurkers, and I suspect some players and their families. There are a LOT of lurkers that people don't realize are here.

it's Llamicus and Furbelly that I miss most on the boards, but I like to think Dave and I fill that role now, to a certain degree, tho those shoes can never adequately be filled.

I would never....EVER watch LDC/BB with Riders fans. Never in a million years. I can't even imagine a hell like that.
