Reading that Insta post, I felt like he's matured from the guy who got a DUI a couple of years ago. We've seen the steps WJ5 has taken in his life, in terms of maturing, and I think we're seeing it with Lawler now, too... and this man is ready to do work in '23!!

Once we get through FA, you'll start seeing a bunch of newbie signing announcements I'd bet. There will be some younger bodies on D and O coming before long.

265 isn't high for the top receiver in the league... I'm fine with that one. But 300 just seems excessive. But we'll worry about that next year. No guaranteed money wirh this contract so anything can happen next year.

Not sure how I feel about 300 in year two (but if cap goes up then it's not a big deal) but taking less because he just wanted to be in Winnipeg just fills my heart. **** every team that isn't us.

couple things... -Regarding the amount of money Walters had to play with. They were apparently keeping a pot last year for Streveler, but I think with his continuation with the Jets, they're likely spending that money now -This is absolutely the best receiving corps since 2000-2003 era.... just ridiculous. Plus Brady out there keeping teams honest. And the best OL in the league with the best QB in the league. Good God almighty....

love the imagery of this... ha ha ha. Here's hoping Schoen is back, too. We'll miss Bailey (I assume, to make this work) but likely something that had to be done and (I hate to say) worth it, in the big picture.

Just to follow up on that tweet from the Edm beat reporter, he has now said that the Dunbar signing means they're all but out on Lawler because of it.... so the "moving to Edmonton" thing didn't really mean anything. He's likely on the move somewhere...

also, there is no such thing as over-paying Milt Stegall, who is inarguably the greatest receiver in CFL history, and a Top 10 CFL player of all time....

I would almost guarantee it's going to be the Faj N Dane Show in Montreal this year. I'm not sure why, exactly, but it's been rumoured for weeks now that Faj was going to follow Maas to Montreal. He's got a better shot of being the starter there than anywhere else in the league, if it's him and Dane. He's not going to unseat anyone else in the league for a starting spot...

Yes, I think I've posted twice about that.... according to 3DN (with info from Lalji) Harris is getting 1-million-plus over 2 years, and Weineke reported to be 225k, but not sure over how many years.
