  1. why do you think you're smarter than the Bombers brain trust? (suggesting that they didn't see this coming but you did) How do you know they didn't see something coming?
  2. the whole conversation about future OL configurations is really interesting, for sure, and worthy of debate on here. I'm really curious to see what things look like down the road. One thing that's interesting to me is that people keep talking about Yoshi in the same breath as Stan in terms of when they'll retire..... but Yoshi is like 5 years younger than Stan. You could maybe make the argument that because his body type is different, and there's more wear and tear on Yoshi, or whatever, but all things being equal, he shouldn't be nearing retirement anytime soon, I wouldn't think.....
  3. obviously none of us really knows, but just based on some Darren Cameron tweets this season, I don't think Stan is hanging them up anytime soon. I'm trying to remember the exact wording of the tweet, but Stan had been mentioned in a positive light after a certain game this year (maybe one of those PFF grades or something like that...) and DC tweeted something along the lines of "and he's not even close to being done yet..." All of which is to say, this post may be moot. I think Stan is going to try and hang on for '25, but we'll see.... I imagine it's all going to come down to how his body is reacting to the wear and tear of a season.
  4. Bauming does not work for the Bombers. There was no social media when Madani worked for the Bombers. Madani was the PR/Communications guy for a brief stint which is now handled (among MANY other roles) by Darren Cameron.
  5. Ehlers will be fine once he finds his game. He didn't have a pre season so it'll take a minute. He's still one of the most talented players the Jets have.
  6. I would bet that Madani hasn't watched a full CFL game all year. Likely just a lot of highlights and reading articles online... here's hoping he doesn't speak for the majority of voters.
  7. they did last year! I believe the numbers was around 150k offered by the Riders but he turned it down to stay in Winnipeg. I do believe he said that he was hoping to prove himself this year and put up stats that would get him a lot of offers, but he absolutely was given a big offer last year and turned it down. Because who the **** wants to live in Saskatchewan.....
  8. he is a deeply religious young man...
  9. -Nobody -Everybody -We won't know until the first practice of WF Week -Yes.
  10. Not that I'm particularly scared of Chad Kelly, but man would I love playing Faj or BLM in the Grey Cup....
  11. I agree.... His family situation likely keeps him here awhile. Just putting my nightmares out there for group therapy....lol
  12. Not to put this out into the universe, but .....what if Buck gets the HC gig next door and takes DB06 (and God knows who else ..) with him......? *shudder* With the help of a time machine?
  13. money aside, you have to believe Brown wants to step out of the shadow and be his own guy, lead his own team. And nobody would blame him. Earlier this week I said I wasn't sure the rest of the league sees him as we do... I take that back now. He'll get his chance this off-season, unless the Bombers do something insane like get rid of Collaros, which I just can't see happening under The Trinity's watch....
  14. the only way you keep him is by getting rid of Collaros, and after everything that man has done for this organization, there is no way they let the story end that way. Unfortunately, I think it means we're going to lose Brown......for now.
  15. Jackson, Shmeckel and Holm have all done something positive tonight and I've chuckled...
  16. Starters or no, this butter soft run D is hard to watch.
  17. Also, lololol... This might be the best one...
  18. Curious if this means the playoff game or if they'll hold it until next regular season...
  19. and this is why.... as much as I loved the guy and appreciate his time in Winnipeg........ I'm not sure why people think he deserves a shot at being a HC. What exactly has he done/proved?
  20. the better one is the goal post "wearing" the "Big Play Chain".... and that definitely became a big thing around here.
  21. the December 2021 game was as cold as it could possibly be (that windchill was insane) and we still jammed the place. People will come out in droves in a couple of weeks... no question in my mind. Wade has made IGF *THE* place to be...
  22. you don't have to be a "Country music fan" to like Stapleton. He's more in the vein of 70s Southern Rock than anything, and is absolutely one of, probably, the Top 5 voices in all of music right now. If you haven't seen him live, it's an incredible show. He can sing, he can write, and he can absolutely shred on guitar....
  23. Again, if he wasn't Canadian... There wouldn't be so much buzz. When you look at all the stats and actually watch the games, I think it's a lot closer between Betts and Willie than people realize...
