  1. CFL should do more of this type of communiction to help some understand how the league operates:
  2. Grey Cup back in Montreal by 2029? Quebec will go ahead with Olympic Stadium renovations https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/quebec-olympic-stadium-renovations-1.7104546
  3. Teams only need to field 1 Global player. Rosters are now 44 players but teams have the option to dress an extra National or Global player as a 45th player. The Bombers went with 2 Global players last year. The team may only go with 1 Global this year as Maruo wasnt signed and Hansen is a pending free-agent.
  4. Yeah, the comedy festival should be a good time. I might just go to Sat and Sun as I've seen Segura before. I'm interested to hear what the Block party line-up is go to be though. They have changed it up this year and its just one weekend (Thurs Aug 22 - Sun Aug 25). Hopefully Friday's acts arent ones Id want to see as there is a Bomber game that night.
  5. For what its worth the Bomber store still has Schoen jerseys but no Oliveiras. I take that as a good sign that Roadhouse will be back.
  6. They also signed 5-10 receiver Aron Cruickshank from Rutgers. He was Steelers camp last year. yeah, Kelvin McKnight as an example.
  7. Bombers signed defensive tackle Kenneth Randall today. He was cut in training camp in 2022. Interesting that they would bring him back.
  8. Bombers sign American offensive lineman Micah Vanterpool. Might be an interesting prospect. The guy is 6-6 315 pounds. https://hawaiiathletics.com/sports/football/roster/micah-vanterpool/20045
  9. Looks like Vernon Adams is the latest QB to rework his contract. Come on Zach, everyone is doing it.
  10. Yeah, its a shame they got rid of off-season mini-camps. I think bringing them back would improve the on field product especially at the start of the season. Another head scratcher is why they havent brought back CFL week especially since the combine is in Winnipeg this year. Its a great marking opportunity lost for the league.
  11. I'm surprised the list hasnt been whittled down a bit with retirements and player releases. The team for example said that Darby wont be back so why not just release him now?
  12. Bridges would have played with Holm and Brady.
  13. 24 Free agents left: Dakota Prukop (A) Brady Oliveira (N) Rasheed Bailey (A) Janarion Grant (A) Greg McCrae (A) Brendan O'Leary-Orange (N) Dalton Schoen (A) Geoff Gray (N) Jermarcus Hardrick (A) Chris Kolankowski (N) Thiadric Hansen (G) Jackson Jeffcoat (A) Jake Thomas (N) Ricky Walker (A) Jesse Briggs (N) Malik Clements (A) Shayne Gauthier (N) Brandon Alexander (A) Alden Darby Jr. (A) Kerfalla Exumé (N) Nick Hallett (N) Demerio Houston (A) Winston Rose (A) Sergio Castillo (A)
  14. I just noticed that Princess Auto came in 27th from a survey for Canada's best employers. Thats the best showing for a retail company by a large margin (number 2 retailer is Apple at 75). https://www.forbes.com/lists/canada-best-employers/?sh=82519bd2790b
  15. Couple more Bomber signings: AYERS, Michael LB A Ashland Bridges, Marquise DB A North Dakota State Ayers was on the December list of 10 Bomber neg list players. I asked John Hodge that question when the signing was annouced. This was his take: I haven't checked with the league but if he has American citizenship, I believe he has the choice of being American or Global. As an American, he can sign a two-year contract without having to go through a draft. Globals have to sign for three.
  16. Class-action settlements Canadians could cash in on in 2024 https://dailyhive.com/canada/class-action-settlements-canada
  17. He was released from his contract to sign in the NFL so he is not on the Bomber's roster. The Bombers do hold his CFL rights for another year though. @TBURGESS would Ford need to sign a new contract with the Bombers or would he be on the last year of his original contract?
