Why the heck would Lions trade their experienced backup to a division rival? It could be a possibility IF BC sucked this year.

He's making 500k but received a 250k signing bonus. So with 5 games in he has been paid 320k. If he is out the rest of the season they save 180k. A portion of that will be used to pay the new 3rd Qb on the active roster.
