  1. They'll prolly watch the NFL kickoffs this season to help determine if they want to go that route. These are the changes for the upcoming season: The league also announced it was ratifying other rule changes for 2024 directly relating to low blocks and decisions made by the command centre. Low blocks have been adjusted to further define the actions of a backfield player delivering a low block. Backfield players may block a defensive player low who is lined up across, from, or outside of the offensive tackle at the snap if the block occurs in the legal low block zone. The league also removed the requirement for the backfield player to be within the legal low block zone at the snap to make the call easier to officiate, while also heightening player safety by limiting who can be legally blocked low. No yards has now been added to the list of penalties that can automatically be picked up by the command centre if called incorrectly by on-field officials. Replay officials can only become involved when a clear mistake has been made. Tripping the quarterback behind the line of scrimmage has also been added to the list of penalties that the command centre can assist on and is now challengeable by a coach. Coaches are allowed to strategically use a timeout to provide the command centre with more time to automatically review a play that is not challengeable, though only one timeout can be used after the three-minute warning in the fourth quarter. Coaches still only have access to two timeouts per game. https://3downnation.com/2024/05/17/cfl-kickoff-rules-unchanged-in-2024-subcommittee-formed-to-examine-future-changes/
  2. If O'Shea passes Grant in playoff wins then undoubtedly he would be the top coach in Bomber history. Bud has 15 playoff wins and Mike sits at 8. You'd think a few Grey Cups would be included in those additional wins.
  3. Cool interview with Kody. He talks about being a college teammate with Strevy.
  4. The Bombers never explained earlier today why they only announced 6 cuts when 10 players had to be removed from the roster. Now we know the other 4 moves that were made. The CFL transactions page has Parker, Bighill and Noah Hallet moved to the 6 game injured list and Neufeld was moved to the retired list. Hopefully Neufeld isnt actually retiring.
  5. Hey @Noeller Reacher is gonzo.

  7. Looke like Michael Chis-Ike should be at practice tomorrow. Bombers have signed him.
  8. No firm time as of yet.
  9. Thanks, where did you get this info? Was that included in the last CBA?
  10. Yeah, I didnt think about suspednding those guys but thats a smart move. If they decided not to show up why give them the courtesy of cutting them so they can just sign with another team. I wouldnt be surprised though if Fayad is re-signed when he is able to practice again.
  11. By my count there be at least 12 cuts announced this morning to get down to the 85 roster limit (plus non-counters). It would be 14 needed however Oliveira and Brady are on the injured veterans list it. The 4 below should be included as it looks like none of them showed up to rookie camp: WR 72 Braxton Burmeister DT 92 Kenneth Randall DB 13 James Campbell DB 46 Montrae Braswell DE 52 Ali Fayad and OL 69 Kendall Randolph might get cut if their injuries are considered to be long term.
  12. 11) Chris Streveler, Winnipeg Blue Bombers (A) Hard money: $120,000 Maximum value: $174,000 The fan favourite returned to Bomberland this off-season following a four-year stint in the NFL. He received a $36,200 signing bonus from Winnipeg and can collect $70,000 in base salary, $13,800 in housing money, and $3,000 each time he plays more than half of the team’s offensive snaps in a regular season game Milt was the exception. At one business I was at we had 3 or 4 players at an autograph signing and only Milt was given the envelope of cash.
  13. Bombers didnt have any roster transactions today. They officially anounced the Ellis signing but he signed on May 9th. Edmonton, Sask and Ottawa all had a bunch of cuts.
  14. Jefferson and Streveler weren't given any promo money but Cam Lawson was allocated 5k.
  15. Woman living inside rooftop store sign with computer and coffee maker for year https://torontosun.com/news/world/woman-living-inside-rooftop-store-sign-with-computer-and-coffee-maker-for-year
  16. I realize its used for the viewers to understand whats happening but I hated her role in the show. Does she really need to tell the detectives what to do next? If I was one of them I would say thanks but I know how to do my f'n job.
  17. Camryn Manheim to Exit ‘Law & Order’ After Season 23 https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/camryn-manheim-exits-law-and-order-season-23-1235998727/
  18. I am sure minimum means minimum as in teams can allocate more than 110k to players in promo money this year if they wish. That section of the CBA is poorly written, as a legal document there shud be greater clarity. So far we know the Bombers have given 105k to three players. (Brady 50k, Schoen 35k, Demski 20k). My guess is they prolly allocated promo money to guys like Jefferson and Bighill as well.
  19. I compared the training camp roster handout vs the roster on the Bombers' website and 4 players are missing on the handout. There is no mention anywhere they are no longer on the team: WR 72 Braxton Burmeister DT 92 Kenneth Randall DB 13 James Campbell DB 46 Montrae Braswell (there is a 13 on defence but its Bill Hackett) Also did anyone know that Winnipeg Rifles runningback Kaiden Banfield is participating in camp? He's number 30.
  20. This sums up yesterday's media scrum:
  21. Bombers signed dlineman Jabari Ellis today. He tried out for the Giants in 2022 then played 2 games with Montreal. The Als cut him last summer.
  22. A couple of Riders olinemen wont be in camp.
  23. Cant forget about Baby Billy;
  24. Here's Pinball's 15 minute post practice press conference:
