Ol' Reliable Kevin Glenn is probably available if Popp decides to go with Cato & Adams. I could see Glenn in an Argos uniform. I mean, why not?

Brock was so strong. He had a sidearm motion rather than over the top but he could zing it & was accurate so it really didn't matter.

Jay Washington was a really good running back. He hit the hole hard & could make tacklers miss. I really liked him as a player back then.

The Big Myth: That Rider fans are the best in the CFL. Give Rider fans the teams we've had the last 10 years to cheer for & see how many butts they'd have in the stands in Regina & all over the league. The old Mosaic Stadium would be half full & there'd be no new stadium built for them. TSN made that fanbase. That & the clueless national media in Toronto. I'm not saying we're the best but the way we've stuck by this team over the years should make us all proud. We're a pretty darned good fanbase ourselves.

Remember that game so well. I think even Brock enjoyed the hype before it. Certainly not the sacks during the game. He left the Bombers very unhappy & was not a Cal Murphy or Robson fan as a player. He wanted a new contract & held out during TC in 1983. Eventually traded to Hamilton for Tom Clements in late August. Glad to see he has put that all behind him as have the fans who were upset with him when he left as well as the team's attitude change towards him as I think the team wanted nothing more to do with the guy at the time he was traded away. Time heals all wounds. He is a deserving honouree. Glad he's on the Wall Of Fame.

It's one game, people. Not an entire season. Canadian advertisers put very little extra money into Canadian commercials on Super Bowl Sunday. We see the same dumb or unimaginative ads we've seen a hundred times over during the season on SB Sunday. Maybe the odd new one but usually that's an overlap of American companies that do business here & in the United States so we actually do see some SB ads during the game. Like say, Pepsi for example. Maybe Canadian advertisers have to come up big spending wise on the Super Bowl & not piggy back off the American broadcast. Go earn their advertising dollars like their American counterparts that day & things will change.

Any day the Riders lose is a good day.

For one game, I like it. Unless you want to watch the same Canadian commercials we've seen since the start of the NFL season played back to back 25 times during the game. Or the same CTV promos with people looking serious, comedic, sideways, up, down, whatever.

I like the Stamps. I love the Blue Bombers. It's not equal. If the Stamps win, hey it's okay. When the Bombers win it's full out happiness. I support the Stamps but love the Bombers. On Game Day when both teams play each other I'm wearing my Brock jersey cheering for the Bombers & not cheering for the Stamps. I don't know how I can make it any more easier to understand.

I always support the Bombers. I drive in from fricking Calgary to see the games still. I haven't in the last year as I had ankle & foot surgery. I've laughed, I've cried, I've exulted at the Grey Cup victories & was despondent at the ones we've lost. I've yelled at the tv, swore a million times,I've danced touchdown celebrations in front of my tv. Holy **** to be called by some guy who I never met on the Internet, who I don't know personally & he knows nothing about me. A member here that I actually respected.
