  1. Can't stands ya... sorry every time I see the name that's where my mind goes. Mark my words plop and collaros is a disaster waiting to happen. Lapo has a habit of getting qbs killed.
  2. People went gah gah over Michael Reilly when he had done less than brown as a backup. Brown has accomplished more than Arbuckle did too. Also did more than maier had done before the stamps gave him a role. Collaros is 35, he doesn't have that many years left. If Brown is as good as he's looked it's worth the conversation. Now it won't happen with this management group but we're a fan message board, it's a good conversation to happen.
  3. Anyone who didn't see cracks start to emerge in Collaros wasn't paying attention and at his age it is totally valid to question how much longer he can be at that level. Especially when he has a top 2 biggest salary in the league.
  4. People throwing scenarios out if Buck were to leave for another job.
  5. The difference being that playcalling is what Lapo sucks at! Which is why I don't want him back.
  6. See my take is that Collaros is too focused on going downfield he doesn't use the shorter throws as effectively as he could. There's a balance to be had and I think collaros has fallen into the "huck it! Chuck it! Football!" Mentality
  7. Yeah not gonna put that on oshea. That's classic Lapo. Longer qbs spend with lapo the worse they get.
  8. Hey he had that sweet touchdown pass to Harris in the Grey cup
  9. Except for those times he doesn't get rid of the ball. He uses his legs to move around the pocket so it's not like he's late stage calvillo, teams are just not letting him escape like he used to. Which is where actually running for some yards would help. He wants to pass, someone needs to tell him sometimes running helps the passing long term.
  10. No one is saying turn into Chris Streveler out there... just that when there's a wide open area use his legs and run. Make the defense account for that possibility. He got hurt screwing around behind the line of scrimmage this season. Guy like that can get hurt anywhere.
  11. By the time the wheels fall off it is too late. You wanna go back to hunting for reasons why the Alex brinks of the world are going to save us?
  12. Yeah this past season Brown showed me everything I needed to see. After his very first game I'd have tossed him aside cause it was awful, but he can do everything a qb should be able to and can operate a cfl offense efficiently.
  13. The whole thing is only valid if it's a shitty team looking at brown to save the franchise. But if it were winnipeg keeping Brown... well we've seen what he does with this team in this situation and this past season it was quite frankly better than collaros. (Small sample size but it is what it is). So if the guy can succeed here it's not as risky as asking him to turn chicken **** into chicken salad.
  14. We got to those cups by winning a few hands in a row against father time, but that dude is unbeaten. At some point you gotta just walk away.
  15. That is the big part to me... collaros they are going for 2 more good years out-of... but then what?
  16. It's a risk but we saw brown execute thus offense as effectively as collaros (maybe more). Less risky than brown going somewhere without the same pieces.
  17. Collaros would help himself so much if he ran with the ball more.
  18. I saw some very big backwards steps from collaros this season and he's at an age where that is concerning. Then you consider his salary and the impact that has had on the teams depth.... It's a conversation I don't expect the team to have but feel they should. What happens if we lose brown and collaros regressed more?
  19. Have you considered that this need to have all the information now is part of the problem? The socials are not good for people's mental health. You don't know how many times I've suggested that my wife just stop scrolling Facebook or Instagram. It causes her anxiety. Course she never listens.
  20. My counter point to this is that we were a tremendous Brady Oliveira season away from a LOT more criticism being leveled on Collaros. They had to adjust massively to try and keep the pocket clean and when it wasn't he struggled mightily.
  21. Yeah it's perhaps mislabelling it on my part. I'm thinking explosive against other guys. Like Holm ain't gonna explode into someone a d drop them. He just wraps up and tackles.
  22. Holm is not a real explosive player, which is why booch is not as high on him as others. Guy likes his explosive players. Personally I think Holm brings a lotnof good things, but physicality isn't really one of them and that is what I think prevents him from being a guy with NFL interest.
  23. I don't see it. At the risk of sounding too much like booch... Holm is too skinny for the NFL to look at i think.
