  1. His playoff performances will primarily be what keeps him from being regarded as one of the top-10 QBs of all time in the CFL. Even in the 2008 Grey Cup, he didn't play all that impressive. It was more a case of him sucking less than Calvillo in that game. 08 game was also in Montreal so it was inside a dome. For a fine example of Burris in the playoffs in the cold see Hamilton in Regina a few years ago. Guy was absolutely useless. He's the ultimate fair weather qb. Looks great in the summer but when the weather gets bad he's useless.
  2. As a shameless Khari fanboi I say bring the man in.
  3. Goldfinger is my favourite Bond movie.
  4. Well would Ottawa have been finishing first in the east if Toronto or Hamilton hadn't had the injuries they did? Ottawa's key to success this year was being the only team to stay healthy at qb and offensive line. Makes a huge ******* difference. Excuses and stats are for losers. Reasons not excuses. You'd have to be some kind of stupid not to recognize the huge advantage that being the healthiest team imparts. If you don't have to test the depth of your team it's an advantage. Calgary's season is impressive because they over came a lot of injuries, Edmonton over came a bunch of injuries that's impressive, Ottawa remained healthy and I ain't impressed by it.

  6. I liked the game from Davis. Seemed to go to the right places with the ball even if the results weren't great I saw enough to say there might be something there with this guy. I want to see him in an offense that isn't crippled by crappy players and an even worse offensive coordinator.
  7. And again it's not about being negative or being positive, it's about going full *****, which is bad. You never go full *****.
  8. The thing is you really can't compare The Penguins and Blackhawks. The hawks defence is led by guys like Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook, the Pens have Kris Letang. Hardly a fair comparison right?
  9. Casino Royale was awesome, the other two were meh. I really didn't like Skyfall and Quantum of Solace you could tell was made during the hollywood writers strike. It is watchable but not nearly as good as Casino Royale was. I think Craig is a good Bond but other than Casino (haven't seen Spectre yet) he's been let down by the films themselves
  10. I don't know about that. A new GM might like the guy. He might not but it's not like O'Shea was a totally out of left field hire for head coach.
  11. Yeah **** that guy for having a poor 2nd season! No one ever has a poor season and rebounds. Guarantee that if we move on from Lirim and he goes on to another team and rebounds you'll be first in line to ***** and moan about them letting him get away.
  12. They can cite climate change all they like but that's just out and out lying. They're trying to protect their own interests nothing more. I hate when climate change is used as a political tool. Call it what it is, don't want competition for the American oil production. I'm not sure if that's it. I think they're just buckling under to environmentalists. Nah it's just better PR to use that reason when in reality it's all about caving to American oil interests. There are pipelines all over the US and they won't stop building them, but oil from Canada? No thanks. Score some PR points by bullshitting about climate change (a key tool for politicians these days)
  13. The last one Pierce Brosnan did was a steaming pile of crap, I'm sure if I cared to go remember some of the Roger Moore ones I'd add to the list pretty quickly.
  14. The team all stems from the GM. He puts his scouts in place, he hires his coach. If there's a problem on the team look no further than the guy who put the pieces in place. Now maybe you could go higher up the chain to the man who hires the GM, but for this discussion I think it's best to say that we need a better performance from our GM. If I could only replace one member of the Bombers staff it's obviously Bellefool, but if I could make 2 changes Kyle Walters is #2.

  16. It's not one specific thing, it's about not over reacting to anything. Winnipeg fans are really bad for that. Win and everything is the greatest!!11!!! Lose and everything is complete crap. Mike Kelly was right about the bi-polar nature of this fan base. A little more rationality would make things infinitely more tolerable.
  17. As I said before, they loved Skyfall which was pretty crappy all in all so perhaps reviewers just don't know what they're talking about? I dunno see how it is I suppose.
  18. Honestly, who do you see paying more than Winnipeg? Who has the need that we do for receivers?
  19. Hollywood fantasy... It's fun to watch & get into as a fan (which I enjoy) but nothing based on reality. A theory is just that, a theory. Therefore if that theory is used not based on scientific fact, it is therefore a fantasy. I understand. Relativity is only a theory, so it is fantasy. Gravity is just a theory. I really wish the general public understood what scientists mean when they use the word theory.
  20. The gap between Willy and the guys backing him up, Nichols included is huge. Those close games some of them are likely wins because Willy at least was able to make some big plays here and there. Marve and Brohm couldn't do **** and Nichols was as likely to turn the ball over as make a play.
  21. If you have everyone just positive or just negative you have a completely useless forum. You absolutely need both positive and negative outlooks. When I read the pure positive it makes me almost as frustrated as I am with coaches and management. There is nothing wrong with being positive but reading some of the positives on this forum you would think that this team is super close to being a GC team. Its confounding. I am tired of crappy and mediocre I want consistently good, meaning a winning record. I honestly believe that, with the right people in place, that can come in far less time than many of our management in the last 8 years have been telling us. Why should we wait when most other teams haven't. Yes Edmonton, Sask, and Hamilton had long runs of crappiness but when they got it all figured out it came quick and lasted more than a year. Why should Winnipeg be so different? I like positive folks but at times I think their even more deflating than negative ones. It would sure be nice if we could all go into the off season with the confidence that our Bombers will be back to actually challenge for top spots rather hoping we don't suck again. it's not about positive vs. negative, it's about the people who ***** for the sake of bitching being as bad as the blind homers. Some people will spin everything no matter how insignificant into the biggest negative going and that's just stupid.
  22. So how did the climate change before man burned fossil fuels? Less rapidly There are past instances of faster warming than we see now. There are also slower instances. The Earth is not a static system, it's been changing constantly for the 4.6 billion years it's been around and it'll keep on changing until the sun blows up and toasts it. The sooner we realize that change isn't always a bad thing the less we can have these knee jerk reactions.
