No but the way you do have long term success is a steady stream of quality Canadian players and a quarterback. Now we know we've done well with the drafting and Canadians, so we will see how Streveler develops and if they can bring in any more qbs. But looking at things now it looks like they've done a good job laying the foundation for long term success. Now it's easy to **** all that up by prematurely firing people because of impatience, but that would never happen in Winnipeg right? Right?

living life as independents, probably not voting for lack of options. The States really needs to get over their line of thinking that there are only 2 parties. Badly need at least a 3rd option, would keep the fringe on the fringe rather than in power.

Oh I know they can generate pressure, I'm saying that they get beat a lot when they try and blitz because it's predictable. It can be both you know. -
yeah and I wish Walters was anywhere close to as good with the american scouting, but he's provided stability, especially with his drafting and it has set the team up for long term success because of it.

The crazies took over the republican party.

We had 2 back to back seasons with double digit win totals, on pace to be in that range this year.... what's the problem other than a few losses and no grey cup? This team has stability. Walter's and oshea have done well considering where they started. Let's let them finish it.

Every qb throws those during the season.

Except they haven't struggled the last few seasons.... over .500 and winning as much as anyone not named calgary... unless this is a case of "if you're not first, you're last" Cause to me those rookies turned the franchise around and put it on pretty stable ground, to the point where .500 is unacceptable.

If Adams is supposed to be the top receiver on the team the he damned well should be in the slot.

Can think of one example where Bighill got into the backfield in a hell of a hurry but Mitchell didn't go down, rolled out of the pocket and fired a pass downfield for a big gain. I think though that part of the problem with the D is that the blitzing we do is pretty predictable and teams know where to go to beat it when they see it. -
What's the deal with Corney? He still hurt?
-
The fact that he is basically hinting that Google should be censored is terrifying stuff. Free internet is very, very important.

The BC NDP are awful. Intentionally trying to torpedo the housing market us just all kinds of du.b, opposing pipelines is just all kinds of dumb, they are the worst kinds. They are ideologues.
-
No authority but former team mates.... you think guys don't talk?
-
Guarantee Milt got a talking to from Wade Miller about those comments.
-
Most of the time he's getting sacked is on a blitz, so it's a problem of not being able to beat that blitz with whatever play is called.

Why stop? They did their jobs. The offense puts some drives together then calgary doesn't have nearly the opportunities to put up yards. That's how football works. -
It wasn't a tsn interview, it was a cjob interview, you go look at the entire question and answer (believe Bob Irving even tweeted it for your convenience) and tell me if it sounds remotely like what TSN blew it up into.
-
you could see the game changing because of the lack of offense but it was still within reach, and at that point all it takes is one play from the offense to be right back in the thick of things so yes the D did hold them in until late in the 4th quarter. The offense just never did their part.
-
TSN was saying before the garbage time outburst that the Bombers had 58 yards on offense in the 2nd half. That is all kinds of awful and should automatically shift a hell of a lot of focus off the defense who kept the team in as long as they could against one of the top qbs in the league.

I am choosing to believe that they will pull their heads out of their asses.

Lapo either goes deep or throws short. Look at Calgary, they killed us with intermediate passes all game long but Lapo is either deep or short, been that way since he was here in 2002. Of course it works a hell of a lot better with Khari Jones, Milt Stegall, Arland Bruce, Charles Roberts and Mike Sellers than it does Matt Nichols, Darvin Adams, and Ryan Lankford. Harris is great and all but our receivers are weak. Adams should be the 3rd or 4th best guy on the team not the best (though I think Dressler is still the best we have, but hurt of course)

You know that if the offense had put some drives together than the yardage woulda looked a hell of a lot better for the D these last few weeks. I felt especially against Calgary they were doing OK considering they're always going to be a bend but don't break D with this coaching staff, but when your offense keeps giving the ball back eventually the yardage will add up.
