  1. Jesus Christ did you at least get paid for this political advertisement? The polls are showing the UCP support dropping, people DO care. These leadership shenanigans aren't nothing, they are indicative of how Kenney operates. Break the law to get what he wants. Let me ask you this, how does slashing corporate tax rates help? Alberta is already the lowest taxed province, all he is going to do is make the rich richer and take away the provinces revenue streams. How does fighting with the federal government and BC governement (which Notley is already doing, Kenney will just turn it up to 11, help build a pipeline? People like you hate to hear it, but in these big national projects you need to work together with people. Also that 52% number, I don't buy it, most polls are showing the UCP dropping support to about 45% while the NDP getting close to 40%, within the margin of error. Now election night might come and we could end up with a UCP government, but it will be closer than you think it will be. People don't like Jason Kenney and they don't like the corruption and social regressiveness of the party.
  2. The UCP are the skypalace with a view of the lake of fire. All the corruption of the PCs with the hard right intolerance of the Wild Rose. The worst aspects of both parties... and people STILL blindly support these ****** canoes.
  3. I don't think it changes anything for the CFLPA. The American players have always been highly replaceable, this doesn't change that fact at all.
  4. That plus booting out 2 candidates earlier for their racist and intolerant views. Those guys are crazy town. Thankfully the polling shows that people are shifting towards the NDP. Not that I ever thought I'd wind up hoping for an NDP win, but good lord no desire to see Jason Kenney as premier here. Guy will set the province back decades.
  5. some of us like the sunshine so I wouldn't even call the weather better.
  6. That is assuming Lapo wanted to bail all that badly. Somehow I don't think running back to the states is priority number 1 for him. Truthfully I think he'd be happy staying in Winnipeg forever provided he has the role he wants. After all, wifey wears the pants in that family.
  7. getting out while the getting is good.
  8. sometimes people just want to be a big fish in a small pond.
  9. No I think someone is going to have to build one sooner or later. The reality of the situation is that we need that industry to maintain a strong economy. We're a resource producing country, that's about all we can do.
  10. Well anyone who wants an economy should.... you paying much less in gas with the current price vs. 4 years ago? Here is the thing: the price of oil isn't horrible, but canadian oil is devalued because we can't get our product to market because of lack of pipelines, which at this point are a political issue.
  11. Nothing and give them a heavily redacted report on their own time table because at this point they don't give a ****, they're gonna do what ever they can to protect the party.

Well I would guess it was Jeff Stoughton, forget which year exactly it was.
  13. aren't all you media types trained in polishing turds and telling people what they want to hear? "Looks like those clowns in congress really did it again, what a bunch of clowns"
  14. Get some valuable experience before sliding over to take over the Bomber gig when Knuckles finally hangs them up?
  15. The appetite is probably there, but these leagues I think get too big for the britches and aim too high too soon. They figure they can start big, but they really need to start small and actually grown a fanbase before they try and get a deal with the NFL.
  16. I am the same. I identify as a conservative, but we really desperately need to check the power of large corporations and the rich. If not then all us lowly plebs are truly ******.
  17. I really want to see that kid do well. He made plays when he got a chance, which is more than can be said for some of the American receivers we've lined up recently.
  18. No no no, you see the senate works for the rich donors. Silly poster thinking the United States government gave 2 shits about the people.
  19. Well history suggests that they are different... I mean just one example off the top of my head: Al Franken is no longer a senator after his scandal.
  20. And something else to consider, was Barr not the attorney general who kept the republicans all safe from any fall out from Iran-Contra? Seems to me that you can't take anything done by Republicans seriously. They've been rotten to the core for quite a while and will protect their own no matter what.
  21. Hey we can easily throw a government out on their asses up here come election. It's a hell of a lot harder for Americans since there's only 2 choices and the government doesn't totally change each time there's an election. People get pissed at Trudeau he will join a long and illustrious line of Prime Ministers who pissed off the electorate and lost their jobs. We in Canada don't vote for people generally, we vote to throw the bums out.
  22. The bits of things I've read basically are saying that Barr's assumption is because there's no direct link between Trump and the Russian government (key phrase that one) he can't possibly have been obstructing justice because there was nothing to obstruct. It's pretty clear there was collusion with Russians, just not the government. Which is stupid since everyone knows that it's the Russian Oligarchs that are basically the government anyway. Putin is smart enough to not make it official but come on, people need to stop and think for a bit rather than playing for team left or team right.
