  1. Honestly I want a win in the semi final and then take momentum into the final.
  2. the difference is calgary has a higher level they can reach offensively and defensively than Saskatchewan if all is working for them. At this point though Calgary is not playing well an i dunno that changes, but we know the smoke and mirrors riders only win when the other team is sloppy with the ball so they're the weakest opponent in the playoffs.
  3. Like I said, insecure and afraid. Gotta cling to the fact that the Bombers gifted them some wins like it actually means anything. Riders have had a lucky schedule this year getting teams while they're in slumps. That won't happen come playoff time. If it winds up being the Bombers and the Riders in the semi final maybe they'll score a point or two this time though.
  4. They bring up the records because they know they are a sham. They are insecure and afraid. I would be too.
  5. It is for rider fans.
  6. Do we forget that Nichols won 4 games in a row when he came back? He had a slump, it happens, he got over it and now we're rolling.
  7. No I said not to expect it, big difference.
  8. Bottom line I don't recall the Bombers ever having an easy time with this RedBlacks team. I honest to go think the easiest path to the Grey Cup game is through the west. RIders are paper tigers and the Stamps can be had this year. Bring it on because based on recent play the Bombers are the top team in the league at this moment.
  9. More than Edmonton?
  10. Didn't look very good in Winnipeg a few weeks ago. Think it is safe to say that lapo knows what to do against them. Plus their offense is so trash. Just protect the ball they won't win.
  11. Yeah not afraid of the riders at all.
  12. This year, but in past years the D has been teh shits against the stamps no questioning that.
  13. well they are far more relevant as to the reasoning for the Bombers not beating the Stamps than the constant Nichols bashing.
  14. let em be snarly, punch em in the mouth anyway.
  15. I just have this feeling that Mike O'Shea has impressed on his team the importance of not waiting until the last week of the season to punch their ticket to the playoffs. I am expecting to see the Bombers come out flying to take care of their own business now and not leave it to chance.
  16. Yeah but that's not all on the qb. Dressler is used too much deep and he is a midget who ain't winning any 50-50 balls. Like I said, Adam's is playing worse too which takes away our other deep guy. Look at how guys are used not just who is out there.
  17. Yes but between this year and last year they added Demski who is a short yardage guy primarily and lost Denmark who was a pretty versatile all ove the field player. Also Adams was playing way way better before he got hurt last year. Seriously do you look at our receivers as they stand now and how they are deployed and believe that 300+ yards passing is going to come easy for any qb? Even when streveler shredded the als early in the year he was under 300 passing. This current offense just isn't going to put up big numbers passing.
  18. He may want to take an NFL shot just to take that chance. As an athlete a lot of guys want to test their skills against the best and if he goes to the NFL it will be because he doesn't want to end his career without taking that shot.
  19. Well when prime milt stegall suits up for this team with Nichols I'll hold his passing numbers to that standard. Why ignore that? Stegall, Bruce, Gordon, hell of a lot better than what we got now.
  20. You will notice I didn't just put it on lapo... I mentioned our receivers too. Dressler and demski are both best suited to taking short passes, wolitarski is not really a deep guy, they never thrown deep to Thompkins, so that really leaves Adams as the teams best bet to pick up big chunks of yardage, and he is inconsistent. So given all that, why are we expecting bit numbers from any QB? Just not in the cards the way this team is built. Hell some of the best throws Nichols has made all year have been in that intermediate range so don't give me this nonsense about not having the arm strength to run a different offense.
  21. Some people expected Jennings to be good, and people certainly expected Franklin to be good. Hell some people even thought Manziel would be good too. Nichols has been good this year except for about a 5 game stretch. People are blowing his struggles out of proportion simply because he doesn't put up the big sexy passing yards.
  22. Typical Winnipeg fan behaviour expecting the potential of a rookie qb to just work out. I love the potential Streveler has, guy has all sorts of tools and an attitude that I loved since I first heard him interviewed in training camp... but he's not going to step in and be better than Nichols this year. The fact that they basically both wind up with the same kinds of passing numbers any time they get to play tells me that this offense isn't designed to showcase the qbs arms. Not sure why people think that's on the QBs. We got a running team that runs the ball and passes short with some deep shots thrown in. Not going to get huge qb numbers with that considering who our deep threat options are at receiver.
  23. Well if everyone would just kiss his ass like he wants then he wouldn't need to incite the ***** mob to get violent with the opposition. He doesn't want to hurt them but look how mad they make him? Total abusive relationship going on there.
  24. Nichols isn't the best QB in the league, and neither is he the worst. What he is, is a guy who can win games (we've seen him win a lot more than he loses since he took over the starting job here). I mean hell he's dealt with a pretty soft defense a lot of his time here too which means he's had to be pretty efficient to get a lot of those wins. I got no problems going forward with Nichols as the qb because we know we can win with the guy.
  25. both Harris and Masoli have way better receivers than Nichols does, both are in offenses that focus on the passing game more. It's quite frankly unfair to Nichols to make that comparison. You swap qbs here and they're still going to use Andrew Harris and the patented Lapo short passing game because that's how this offense is built. I say we just be happy with the guy who has got this team a good record of the past few seasons. He's not perfect but he's the best qb we've had here in a hell of a long time so let's not go down that grass is greener path again.
