The double standard is because these people only see negatives for the bombers and positives for everyone else. That negative slant they have on life is a brutal thing and it keeps them from seeing things clearly.

Why do you blame Nichols for that when Paul Lapolice has a long history of using his runningbacks as pass catchers? Remember who our leading receivers were in 2002? It was Milt Stegall, Arland Bruce and then #3 and 4 were Roberts and Sellers. Guy loves his check down passes, always has and always will. There's a reason they went and got Harris and Demski and Dressler and guys like that who can take those little dump passes and make things happen. It's because that's what Lapo wants from an offense.

And Adams being a leader is a problem. Guy has been questionable with his effort from day 1. We have Dressler as a real vet in the receiving corps and that's it. He's out it's a serious lack of it.

We aren't looking for a guy to be a contributer next year or 2 years from now, just a guy to ride out the rest of the season with and maybe playoffs. Jackson or Greene woulda been perfect for that role assuming they came cheap. 32? big deal, they are still effective veteran players you can plug in and get some of that veteran presence with.

He had a fine game but I still felt he put in a ***** effort on a ball early. Guy is fine as a #3 receiver, maybe a #2 guy but expecting him to be the main guy is just asking for trouble.

Well I can't speak for Mike but I would have loved to see them grab a veteran receiver for one reason and one reason only... depth. This team cratered when Dressler was out and now he got dinged in practise again. We can't be the team that relies on our depth receivers, Walters ain't good enough at recruiting them and we need a veteran if Dressler is out. Oh well. Just have to hope he stays healthy.

With all the draft picks Walters has accumulated and all the ones Montreal have given away you'd think there would be something to be worked out there. Guy like Jackson could really help this team.

The worst that happens is he causes problems in a rock solid locker room and it starts to unravel the team itself. If you're shopping for a receiver who can help there are option out there to go after that aren't proven to be cancerous.

Yeah I don't believe they have the best DBs in the league for a second. They got some big time players in the front 7 and some fine DBs, but it's a pretty shallow group on D overall that really relies on that handful of people to get it done. I mean their defensive tackles are nothing really special, but their ends are pretty damned good, their middle linebacker options suck, but Eguavoen is a hell of a player, just as a couple examples.

Bullshit. Trying to reduce the argument down to "they're all the same" is blatantly ignoring the very real and very damaging differences between how each party operates. Hell the guy Obama nominated for the supreme court (since this is a relevant example to use right now) was a right winger anyway! He was quite popular among Republicans and Republican senators have flat out said they couldn't have a hearing on the guy because there was no reason to not confirm him so they delayed it with the hope that they'd get a Republican president and could put a Republican nominee in the position. Now compare that with Kavanaugh and the games you say the Democrats are playing... Just watching him in front of the senate I know that guy would make a horrible judge. He went on a red faced tirade about the left and the Clintons and even went so far as to threaten repercussions for him even having to answer questions about very real accusations of sexual misconduct. So tell me again about how they're all playing the same games.... Democrats are playing tiddlywinks, Republicans are in a bar room brawl.
