Well I can't fault the casting in it... those people are pretty solid, I just don't know that we needed another men in black movie and without Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith is it really the same? I dunno. Probably not the worst movie that will come out anyway.
-
They are wrong. Those people wanted Nichols to throw back across his body. You want that? I don't. Maybe you do though, good way to get intercepted.
-
He was just a low level son, wasn't with the family very long, he really only got the coffee. He prefers children who don't get indicted.

Hey I saw the entirety of the field, when Nichols rolled no one was open. Harris was covered cause calgary ain't dumb and the only other option was one guy downfield who calgary rightly doubled up knowing there was no one else. It's on lapo to give Nichols some options when things break down, unfortunately on lapoland it's Harris or Harris are the options.
-
This post is so full of **** it's not even funny. There were plenty of times Nichols scrambled to extend the plays and no one got open for him. The fact is that Lapolice loves to dink and dunk down the field and Nichols is just going with the game plan. Blame Lapo for that horseshit not the qb.

The MBB All-time Blue Bomber Team: Defensive Halfbacks
17to85 replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
That's because Hefney was a way way better player than Jovon. Johnson got the picks but Hefney was a much better player. -
which is why everyone involved in that mess was fired...
-
The only 2 first overalls they earned were Hall and RNH (and even RNH New Jersey actually won the lottery, just couldn't move up past 4) the other times it was just dumb luck, so I really don't get hung up on that. Not like they were dead last 4 years in a row. They didn't go full on Buffalo trying to tank for McDavid. So really, if the draft doesn't reward poor teams how are they ever supposed to get better? Why not give the best players to the best teams? That's sure to help the situation.
-
That he's not going to throw his team mates under the bus. And his saying he played well should clue people in that it was the game plan to throw short passes and not challenge the defense deep. Ie. what I've been saying the entire time, Lapo played not to lose.
-
yeah but the people who made those picks have been fired. The Oilers problem was simple, their drafting was garbage and their farm system was worse. It was really only since Chiarelli that the drafting has improved and the farm team isn't a total gong show. Yes Chiarelli has made some bad trades, but the guy has made some good moves too and the Oilers are a better team than last season or the start to this season showed. Mclellan lost it last season and never got it back.
-
Keep in mind that the Oilers never would have got McDavid if the NHL hadn't changed the draft lottery. Getting him was blind stupid luck, it was also luck that they got the first overall pick that netted them Yakupov.... How fortunate....
-
Oh well if TSN said it then excuse me. They are above reproach in their commentary. Trust me, I was in the stands, it wasn't that windy. If it was I'd have been freezing my nuts off.
-
I mean hey if holding a guy to 2 points is shutting him down go on and believe that. I already said the jets were too good a team to expect the Oilers to win I regulation missing half of their top 4 D, but you all act like the jets are so far superior that somehow it wouldn't have made a difference. I am not the only one who sees it, jets fans act exactly like rider fans do.
-
it wasn't that windy.
-
The bar is so high that a 2 point night for McDavid is considering shutting him down. Do you hear yourself? I mean yeah he didn't get 4 points and win the game all by his lonesome like last time these teams played but to suggest that they shut down a guy and he still picked up 2 points and rang the bar in OT and may well have won the game there is shut down.... get over yourselves. You know what stops me from really getting behind the Jets? The fact that Jets fans act like Rider fans.
-
Or someone missed a joke
-
Misjudged or dogged it, the bottom line is the receiver ****** that one up more than the qb. It wasn't a super windy day, to me Adam's let up. Yeah he was running, but not hard.
-
Because by the time Adam's stopped running the ball was already thrown. He keeps going to the endzone like the route is supposed to do he let up.
-
Well I for one always like Russell everywhere he has been. Dude gets **** on way too much because of fancy stats but he is a good defenseman and has been playing good this season. Also, McDavid had two points last night and as you said, post in OT so really shut him down huh? It was a 5-4 game, wouldn't call it a defensive clinic by anyone just a high scoring game that went to OT. Might as well just accept that the Oilers aren't as bad as they looked under Mclellan.

The MBB All-time Blue Bomber Team: Defensive Halfbacks

The 2001 defense was pretty damned good. I dunno where it ranks all time but they were ******* good and Juran Bolden was a massive part of that. Don't sell Cameron short just cause Jon Ryan kicked the ball into the movie theatre across the street. Cameron could drop the ball just where he wanted it. It'd like saying Michael Bishop was a better qb than Khari Jones because Bishop had an arm like no other. Now I dunno where Bolden compares to other all time DBs cause there's a lot that I just don't remember well enough, but the guy was never bad here. -
Harris busted his ass trying to get that pass. Trust me, I was sitting in the stands for both plays. Harris damn near tracked that ball down, Adams stopped running well before the ball was anywhere close to him. Massive difference. Had a great view of both plays. Nichols throws the ball and Adams stops running and then realized he ****** up and tried to catch up but was too late. Harris is open and sees the ball going too far and tries hard to get there but can't quite make it. That's the difference. Adams was wide open cause no one went to cover him and thought he could just stand there for an easy TD, Nichols expected him to keep taking his route to the endzone.
-
I didn't see the game cause I was out, but my understanding is Talbot was good in the third but awful on the OT goal. Which makes sense, Talbot is still pretty shaky mentally after what happened last season and given that Nurse and Larsson had to play massive minutes in Colorado with Klefbom and Russell going out early and again played big minutes last night cause your depth is trashed it makes sense that they saw a 3rd period dip in performance. And I wouldn't laugh about the presence of Koskinen either. Guy has ridiculous numbers right now, he's been a brick wall for the Oilers while Talbot still can't make a glove save to save his life. Going to OT against Winnipeg considering Klefbom and Russell out and Talbot starting is probably the best they could have hoped for. Hard to lose the two D who have been playing the best for you on the season.
-
I heard it described best this way: the MAGA types would happily let Trump **** in their mouths if a liberal had to smell it.
-
Yeah Adams totally dogged it on that route that Nichols over threw him. He keeps running it's a touchdown but instead he stopped moving and it was over his head.
