The MBB All-Time Blue Bomber Team: Defensive Ends
17to85 replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Jon Ryan when he was here was mostly just a leg, that he rounded out his game in the NFL has no consequence. Like I said, there is more to punting than distance and Cameron had all that. -

there is more to punting than distance and Bob Cameron was way better at all the other stuff than Ryan when he was here. -
Miller's fault
-
Dickenson is the best coach on their roster, he is clearly the choice to be head coach out of their options.
-
Lapo was the one running the offense....
-
When his team is down by 3 or more scores Lapo is the best offensive coordinator in the league, when they're in a tight game or leading he's painfully passive.

The MBB All-Time Blue Bomber Team: Defensive Ends

No, wrong. Punter is Bob Cameron. I don't give a **** if Jon Ryan could kick the bloody piss out of the ball or went on to a good NFL career, Bob Cameron is the greatest Bomber punter AINEC. How many punters almost single handledly win a team a Grey Cup? -
His supporters must be so tired of winning, just like he told them they would be.
-
He coached the team to not lose. Remember? It was good enough to barely lose. Lapo is a loser at heart. He doesn't have the balls to be a winner.
-
Then I still don't want Lapo as head coach again. Been there done that and it didn't work.

Yeah but you're a rider fan, which means you are among the most biased fans in existence. Your opinion on matters related to the CFL are worth less than nothing. If the Rider line was so good why did the Bombers dominate the all star selections and have the most outstanding lineman? Everyone in the CFL knows the Bomber OL is vastly superior, the only people disagreeing are rider fans. Go on, find me someone who isn't a Rider fan who says the Riders have a better OL than the Bombers. I'll wait.
-
Not to mention that the Sask qbs never stayed in the pocket either, especially with Bridge. They always had them move out of the pocket cause they knew if they stayed in the pocket it was game over. Yeah it's sort of like a couple years ago when the Esks OL gave up the least sacks because Reilly escaped all the time. It's a nice number, but it really doesn't mean much. Everyone who knows anything about the CFL knows that the Bombers had the best OL in the league the last few years.

So here's the thing with Lapo, he has some grievances from how his time as Bombers head coach went, he sat out from coaching until he found a situation he wanted to step into, he's already turned down interest in one head coaching position... So clearly the guy isn't desperate to jump at just any chance. He's trying to pick his spot and even if he interviewed with the Riders, I doubt he would have been all that interested in joining a team that had a lot of the same problems as the one he was head coach for before had. That's just asking for another black mark on his resume, which I think he really does want to avoid. He probably woulda stayed right where he was regardless, this really does come across as much ado about nothing.

Yes but signing a contract in bad faith can void a contract if it's argued, which means signing it does not entitle one to a bonus. Now the Bombers didn't bother to waste their time pursuing it because they probably just felt it was better to eat the cost, but facts are Durant acted like a child and stole money from the Bombers. You sign a contract you honour the contract, especially when you were well compensated to do so.
-
One could argue that he signed the contract in bad faith.

I like to imagine that Pelosi has a sensible chuckle every time she plays Trump like a fiddle.
-
It is hilarious to see how little Trump actually knew about the workings of the US government. He seems to have imagined the president as some sort of king rather than one of 3 equal branches. Turns out that when you actually have to make a deal rather than trying to bully people smaller than you Trump isn't such a good deal maker.
-
If I can translate that into laymans terms: Hey Donnie Dipshit, go **** yourself
-
I don't really give a **** when we hired Lapo from the Riders, that was before the Riders went and pissed off the rest of the league with their Jones shenanigans and made teams less willing to help out rivals.
-
Oh I am sure they will give Gray a try at tackle in camp, but I don't think they are expecting to use a Canadian there.
-
That's what happens when you actively try and silence dissenting opinions.

Grudging props for that one.
