  1. Hmm I don't think this is accurate, I think the 6 months thing is because that is how long it has been studied. As in still good after 6 months. Probably see still effective at 12 months when they have studied these for a year.
  2. You really are obtuse aren't you? Get off of this punishing people is all that matters kick and look around. There are countless examples of poor populations being over represented in prisons and committing crimes... but we are supposed to believe that these people all are just bad people? There is no systemic reason people turn out they way they do? There are tons of studies about nature vs. Nurture this really shouldn't even be a debate at this point. The only debate is how much a person wants to do about trying to address these issues.
  3. I really think we need to change this narrative. ******* Kenney does the same in Alberta. But call it what it is, 1/4 have got their first dose. They're not fully vaccinated until they get the 2nd dose.
  4. No it's not. It's about lamenting the ills in society that lead to people in these circumstances.
  5. Drip by drip? They've opened up the firehose
  6. If anything they're probably underreported. But I do feel for business owners who keep getting jerked around. Governments needed to do more for the business forced to shut their doors.
  7. It must suck to live in a world that is black and white with no nuance.
  8. I feel personally attacked...
  9. It's been known to be airborne for a long time now. The issue with the variants is they are more easily transmitted, and perhaps the talk of outdoor masking is to protect people from themselves thinking that it's ok to get all up in each other's faces outdoors.
  10. Again, all this straw man arguing points no one is making. We are simplying using this as an opportunity to talk about some systemic issues in parts of society that contribute to people making poor choices. There are ways to combat these things, but it takes a will to do it, and people shrugging their shoulders saying "meh, nothing to be done" won't convince any government to actually do anything. So the cycle repeats and people get trapped in poverty and fall into bad circumstances which lead to them making poor choices.
  11. Education is the answer.
  12. Ambrosie had 2 plays this whole pandemic beg the federal government for money with no plan, or try and sell out to a league that doesn't exist. What great leadership.
  13. Why can't we fix poor? Or poor upbringing?
  14. No it's about the lack of leadership he has shown.
  15. No one is trying to excuse it, simply looking at some root problems as to why people go down that path.
  16. Personal responsibility is great... but if you completely discount the role that a person's surroundings play you are missing a big part of the picture.
  17. And this is where a lot of the disagreements between aides comes from on this issue. On one hand you have the people who want to punish criminals. On the other hand you have people who want to rehabilitate criminals into productive members of society. I personally side with rehabilitation simply because it is shown to be a more effective way to approach things rather than fostering career criminals. There are also societal failings which lead to bad choices for people stuck in those situations. People in poor disenfranchised populations are more likely to get sucked into that life because the influences around them create a situation where the trap happens.
  18. I know this, I'm just saying that reasoning has been used to justify gas taxes before. I guess I wasn't clear, I was more surprised the right was using some semblance of logic to justify it as opposed to some bullcrap.
  19. at least the logic makes sense. The logic behind gas taxes is to maintain roads so ...
  20. you know what, the restrictions for restaurants will help. It is crazy how busy those places have become and none of the staff care about households (and I don't blame them, they don't need to deal with that crap) I feel bad for business owners who keep getting jerked around but people have proven time and time again in the past year that they can't be trusted to do the right thing.
  21. The funct, the whole funct, and nothing but the funct?
  22. At what point to we stop making excuses for the league and just admit they've ****** up this entire situation?
  23. And less people shot by cops with itchy trigger fingers.
  24. She has to play the game or kenney will put a true sycophant in her place.
  25. Old man yells at clouds and holds grudge despite a player bouncing back from a poor year.
