There's something weird about Hervey though. Like why wouldn't he give a brief comment on a local junior player they signed? He didn't have to hold a press conference, just take 30 seconds out of the day to talk to a reporter on a cellphone. Other stuff media complains about is stupid. from all reports i've read, dressler has been impressing the chiefs very much. Haven't heard much but also haven't really looked for much about Matthews. I think generally Matthews is less likely to return and more likely to wait for another NFL shot even if the Seahawks cut him. Dressler has some pretty deep ties in Regina and he can make top CFL dollar.

But if they sign him you'll be okay with it. Enthusiastic even. Cute attempt to paint me with that fanboy brush but I've disliked rotten romby since his attitude Issues with Kelly (and by proxy the team and the other players n coaches) he was solid when he started here.. It's been down hill since he was here.. He's older, slower and less capable then when he was here and frankly, I always thought of him as a better brazzell.. So no.. No I won't be happy if he's the best we can do. I will not change my tune if he becomes a bomber.. For the millionth time, my opinions don't change on a player once they become a bomber.. If Im not a fan before, I'm not a fan after.. IE Kuale.. Always considered him a dirty player and slow for MLB.. I'm not a fan that he's our MLB.. at all.. I hear ya there SPuDs, was very underwhelmed with his signing but who else is there? I'm hoping he's keeping Henoc's place warm and when the Colts cut him in August and no one else is interested (hey, just my hope here) that he comes back to the bombers and makes his debut Labour Day or Banjo Bowl - it will be very easy to say to Kuale - "Hey, phone call, its Max Hall, he's looking for a roommate - interested?" I don't know, we just cut two guys who MOS admits we didn't even take a proper look at despite them looking pretty good in limited reps in Reed and Dell. Jaymar Johnson showed that he could get open quite consistently and make a catch, came back from a couple drops in the first game and was very good. Not to mention hundreds of guys south of the border who would love a call from their agent saying that a CFL team is interested. But instead we'll bring in a guy who hasn't been an above average import receiver since 2010 and has nowhere to go but down.

Pretty sad that we're resorting to Romby Bryant. It's not like we have any injuries at IMP receiver, gotta do better in the off-season.

Are they holding some seats specifically for walk-up? I ask because we moved our season tickets to a section that is light blue in that map, and our seats were the last two available in that section when we did that.

I hope the fans on the field stuff is really organized. When they had it in the past it was a free for all and quite dangerous for fans (ie people jumping from 10 feet onto concrete), players and everyone else on the field.

What's Danny McManus up to? Why not just keep Jaymar Johnson around? Replacing our current next to useless boundary WR with an older even more useless boundary WR rates pretty low on the excitement and team building meters.

We have Markett in reserve too. Not sure if an IMP DB is going to factor in as the dime given the ratio issues, I'm assuming they'd want Anderson out there for most passing downs. Banks is used to playing on good teams, and even on good teams leaned toward malcontent tendencies. I'm not a huge fan of bringing him in or keeping him around for "leadership." We need to develop good players who are going to be good players when the team is good, if that makes sense.

If you want to get a glimpse of Bryant's attitude, check his twitter feed and his feuds with former teammates. Guy is quiet as a church mouse, but seems to have another persona bubbling under that exterior.

Ottawa must be going import at kicker. They aren't going to get any better than Palardy off the NI scrap heap.

Angus Reid didn't even play last season, and wouldn't play this season even if he were healthy with Matt Norman emerging. They lose a veteran in Archibald, but he's been a pretty average player the last couple seasons.

Which ton of guys did BC lose? Traded Banks away, let Keron Williams walk, lost Demarco to Ottawa, lost Nick Moore in free agency. Added Khalif Mitchell, the most dominant single player in the CFL currently when he wants to be. Added Kevin Glenn, a better QB than anyone they had in 2013, including Lulay, Added Hunter Steward, while subtracting Patrick Kabongo. Added a pretty good looking NI receiver in Stephen Adekolu, along with SJ Haidara looking like an impactful offensive threat in his 2nd season. Don't sleep on BC.

I just don't want to read 100 pages of moaning if we do sign him again. You weren't much of a Jade fan IIRC. I wasn't a fan of drafting him 4th overall or using a roster spot on him for almost a full season when he didn't cross the sideline once and mostly held Brink's helmet until he needed it to run in for a QB sneak. As a 3rd Canadian receiver in 2014, we could do worse.

In hind sight could have offered Watson or Pencer, Renaud and any number of replaceable starting imports they planned to cut anyway. No one can say what it would have taken to get Glenn out of Ottawa prior to the draft but the result could have been Joey Elliot taking snaps for the Lions yesterday in place of Kevin Glenn. So you would burn a draft pick, delay the development of our own young guys, potentially create a QB controversy all to spite BC? seems reasonable... I'd offer up the kitchen sink before a draft pick though. Bombers have around 30 new players this year so in the off-season they had plenty of expendable capital to work with. As it does not seem that Ottawa was getting any offers for Glenn's services I believe they would have accepted less if a deal would have been made well in advance of draft day. I don't believe Walters bothered to try and that's the rub. BTW Lions just beat Calgary handily with their backup QB....think about it. Now that is some classic sports message board logic. Wish real-life was that simple.
