We are 3 injuries away from playing a defensive player at receiver or running back or having to play 6 OL the entire game. Really to me the big problem is the draft. Find some of those guys who can be good special teamers but also your depth at receiver. Calgary's 3rd round pick in 2026 is a receiver leading the league in special teams tackles, for example. We have Daniels who can't win any routes downfield, can't block, and can't play special teams.

Everyone is taking turns looking awful. So far the big difference is Davis Alexander being so great he can overcome Montreal's bad D and terrible special teams. The league is wide open. I'd say basically anyone but Hamilton and Ottawa could win it all.

In a 35-30 league we're going to try to win 20-18. No playmakers at receiver, can't pass protect, intermittent pass rush, 3/5ths of our secondary can't cover but we have 4 American spots purely dedicated to special teams.

Reality of free agency is few impactful guys are available. Teams generally pay for the guys that are to keep them. There’s the guys going home and every so often someone like Lawler who priced himself right off his current team. The big failure here is we are not drafting or recruiting any real starting quality players let alone great ones over 3-4 years straight.
