He's got 17 weeks to get PR or active in NFL. He's got basically 7 game cheques that he can make up here. And if he chooses the latter he's taking a punt on the NFL until 2026. The Bombers would really have to sign him to a huge extension IMO to get him to come north. And I'm also not sure he's that good in our league.

I don't disagree but the incentives to come north this season are not that great. If he does he basically ends any hope he does have of getting a NFL shot for a bit of Canadian money.

The only +500 team (if we're counting that in the dipshit way) Sask has beat is Hamilton twice. And we haven't played Hamilton or Sask yet. Basically Calgary controls their destiny in the West. And either us or Sask sweeping the back to back would allow the winner of those games to control their destiny for at least a home playoff game.

Even if they gave him $200,000 CAD pro-rated he's got like $80,000 Canadian plus playoff money for the rest of the season. That's 4 weeks of NFL PR salary. He's a guy that made a nice NIL nut too at Florida State. I don't think he's desperate for a few game cheques in Canadian dollars.

Who knows...there will be like 700 inactive guys on NFL rosters between injury lists and PR. If he sticks on a PR down there for 2 weeks he'd make more than he would here for the rest of the season. Even if he gets here for the Banjo Bowl he's got 7 game cheques in the CFL and signing here he's taken himself completely away from the possibility of getting with a NFL team in the 2025 season.

Depending on opponent and what they do, we play about 40-60% of the time on D with one LB out there since we've went to more 40 fronts...and it's usually Jones...then Jones and Wilson when we have 2 out with the dime subbing out. I don't count SAM as a LB.

And hardly anything to worry about when you're getting nothing from too many American spots, particularly at receiver.

That's for guys who already signed here and went down in the middle of their rookie deal. Like when Ford was gone he ran down a year. Otherwise for guys who have never been in the CFL they would need to be on NFL 53 man or IR for 3 games in a season for it to count. PR doesn't.
