  1. Yeah that's one battle that will be interesting all right.
  2. I sure hope so. I'll be watching all the Winnipeg channels tonight for their sports updates. Those five seconds the news media devote to the Bombers this time of year are gold! "In sports today, the Bombers opened rookie camp (show pool footage from old Winnipeg stadium era of Doug Brown walking around talking to Ike Charlton) so the season has begun! And now on to other sports news, Paul Maurice sneezed today..."
  3. I just want to say in advance that any reports will be appreciated, tremendously.
  4. That insightful comment is truly appreciated.
  5. Good choice. I have to admit I've got good hands when it comes to balls. Now get your minds out of the gutter - I was referring to footballs... maybe. Jacquie - you just want to be a REC as that means that you get to be covered by Troy Stoudermire.
  6. I appreciate your reporting, even before you do it.
  7. Watching the Rockets in the Memorial Cup is a treat, but seeing Dan Lambert behind the bench is surreal to some extent as it takes me back 32 years to our battles between Niverville and St. Malo. When I say "battles" I mean we were spectators as Lambert would score 10 goals for St Malo and we would lose 10-1. http://www.winnipegsun.com/2015/05/15/st-malos-dan-lambert-leads-kelowna-rockets-into-memorial-cup-in-first-year-as-head-coach
  8. You have a rich fantasy life, don't you? I am a lifelong Bomber fan, who every night sleeps in a Bomber Grey Cup Champions t-shirt that is older than a lot of the posters on this forum. I have to have an active fantasy life or I would have gone insane a long time ago. I was lucky I survived the 2007 Grey Cup. It just about killed me.
  9. http://globalnews.ca/news/1347315/regina-unveils-new-stadium/ Riders new barn.
  10. oh no we were in love man. I wrote to her and she wrote back and everything. Macho man never knew about it, thank goodness....
  11. I was really in love with Elizabeth in those days. What a babe.
  12. Holy Toledo, what does Mike have a picture of you and Dave enjoying a donkey in Tijuana or something? I don't get all the butt-kissing going on with Mike today...
  13. I'd look forward to the competition. Note however, that you'd have to deal with a guy who plays to the echo of the whistle and who thinks like Ty Jones, so I will own you. Plus you are immune to nut-punching...
  14. WE COULD HAVE HAD WAUD AT 11th OVERALL!!! THANKS KYLE!!!
  15. I am about 15 years too old to run a pattern as a receiver, other than if that pattern ends up in front of a beer stand. OL for me if anywhere, and preferably in a spot across the line from Tburg's DL spot... Plus I went to the Adriano Belli school of subtle nut-punching...
  16. Depends where he lines up eventually. If he has the size to play wideout then he'll most likely ever only play on one side of the field, reducing the number of routes on the tree by 50%. And it's not like every team uses a zillion different routes, I can't see him learning (or knowing) being that big of an issue. Just gives you an idea. Where were you when Mike Kelly was coaching....
  17. Cue the "WE COULD HAVE HAD WAUD INSTEAD OF RICHARDS!!! THANKS KYLE!!!!! comments....
  18. Mark Cohon ✔ @MarkCohon Heading to Saskatoon to talk to Fedrated Co-op executives and GMs about leadership. Good to be back in the heart of #Canada Heart, crotch...potatoe,,,potatto...
  19. It may not even be worth the CFL's time to try and collect on the rights. Whereas the NFL would reign down fire and brimstone if one second of one team made it on screen.
  20. https://vimeo.com/95144487 At least the Simpsons didn't try and make the CFL draft seem like Homer was actually watching the NFL draft....LOL
  21. That video did a good job, though there were a few factual errors. One thing I've noticed on US TV shows is that Canadian football footage is substituted a lot for US football - ie even on the show "The League" they'll be watching what they say is the Oakland Raiders vs. Kansas City, but if you look closely at the TV it's actually Toronto playing Calgary. I assume that this is due to rights issues, it's probably cheap or even free (due to the rights not being enforced) to sub in CFL footage for NFL and almost no one notices unless they look for it. I even saw footage of Toronto playing Hamilton in an SNL sketch with Bruce Willis a few years ago....
