  1. yeah that's where I knew him from originally, from Cheers. I was also in love with Markie Post, so never missed a show.
  2. I always thought Bull would go first. Or John Larroquette given what a hard life he led before sobering up.
  3. yeah, unlike Foligno's punch to the leg on Myers.
  4. Niku looked every bit a rookie out there, but he got saddled with Buff as his D partner and I wouldn't wish that on any rookie. I would rather he have a full season under his belt before being thrown into a playoff game. As for Enstrom, I think everyone here knows how I feel.
  5. Myers for Parise...good trade.
  6. Chris Cuthbert would be a big improvement on Paul Romanuk. He's definitely the Rod Black of Sportsnet.
  7. watching Nashville getting their butts handed to them tonight has me not feeling so blue about yesterday. San Jose walking all over Anaheim. Anaheim sucks.
  8. I hope someone tunes up Winnick before this series is over. What a putz taking on a guy half his size...
  9. that's a pretty big misrepresentation of what Cherry's points are. He's a pretty big advocate for Canada and Canadian players, especially in the playoffs. The Sedins are a big example of what he's talking about. Float all year and then disappear in the playoffs when the going gets rough. And I actually like This Hour has 22 minutes, especially when they make fun of all three of our current party leaders.
  10. oh no, April snow storm this late in that neck of the woods. Floods again for Manitoba??
  11. several times Romanuk has gotten Jets names wrong. The Canadian mainstream sports media has so little interest in any team outside of Ontario that doesn't rhyme with Beefs. It's pathetic. I also hate it when he and Garry Galley have to say for the twentieth time "you may be just getting to know this team as you probably haven't seen any of their games". Like come on. I am a hockey fan. If it was Calgary, Edmonton or Montreal playing, I would know most of the players. Canadian hockey fans aren't that dumb Paul. Not as dumb as you anyway.
  12. Like to see Roslo get a shot.
  13. Statement from Maclean’s by Maclean's Apr 12, 2018 We’d like to clarify that, contrary to misinformation being spread on social media, Nora Loreto has never been an employee of Maclean’s. She is a freelance writer who published one article on our website a few months ago. We had nothing to do with her extraordinarily inappropriate tweet regarding the Humboldt tragedy. We will have nothing else to say on this matter at the current time because we do not wish to distract from the tributes and grief being expressed on behalf of the victims of the accident, nor do we wish to feed into the torrent of abuse that Ms. Loreto has been subjected to since publishing her tweet.
  14. 2015 was quite a draft year - Connor and Roslovic already making the jump, with prospects Spacek, Appleton and Niku all with potential to also make it one day. Foley is gone in the Stastny trade. Anyone know how Harkins is doing?

  16. Just disgusting. This person is beyond horrible.
  17. The trucking company involved has now been suspended.
  18. Almost $8 million now. Go Canada go!
  19. make it $7 million. I was watching BC1 news on Saturday and they had just broken one million, and the news anchor was talking about the Go Fund Me and how amazing it was that they had blown through the original $300,000 target so fast and how she was amazed at how fast Canadians were rallying to help, then she choked up and couldn't talk anymore and they had to go to commercial. Way to go Canada. So proud right now.
  20. said every team that was heavily favored and then has lost a first round...
