Imagine the talent pool for French Canadian coaches and management gets even shallower with a team in Quebec City, as they are even crazier in QC than Montreal when it comes to only hiring French dudes for those positions. They probably would also insist on a quota of French-speaking players as well. The franchise would be doomed before it ever played a game.

No one is perfect. That decision will forever be a head-scratcher for me, but in reality, it made no difference in the big scheme as we were going to lose that game anyway.

a friend of mine in Calgary's daughter played soccer with Dickenson's daughter. I was listening to Jim Hughson go on about how Canadians from "coast to coast" have heard enough about the William Nylander saga and how they didn't need to hear that name anymore and I was just throwing up in my mouth. Guess what, I've hardly heard anything about William Nylander because I rarely read any Leafs crap. And I change the channel when Leafs crap comes on TV. Just don't care. Now if he played for Winnipeg, I'd know all about it. But to assume that "coast to coast" Canadians have been inundated with William Nylander news is ridiculous. Just such arrogance that we would even give a **** about William Nylander.

First year the Jets were in the NHL we had half-seasons. There was this annoying fan behind us who just HATED Scott Campbell, the defenceman who had asthma so bad that he had to have an inhaler on the bench. He would just yell CAMPBELL!!! all game. We didn't renew our seasons after that, we just couldn't stand that guy.

Could be NBC, also could be the fact that Ontario is the biggest fan base in the league, and so to attract the most viewers, they would want to have the game start at 7:00 pm Eastern. I think this is a "Toronto" thing. No other Eastern based team gets early starts doing the week like this, do they? Montreal maybe?
