  1. LOL yeah, and that's not really a fair assessment, especially when you look back at some of the awful presidents that have existed in American history.
  2. or I came to point out a fact about the Canadian and US voting patterns. Another option.
  3. The deep divisions that have defined American politics in the era of President Trump played out across the country in Tuesday’s midterm elections, as Democrats scored victories in key races in Republican-held suburban House districts but ran into a wall of opposition in red-state Senate contests. All year long, Democrats talked optimistically about a blue wave that they believed was building around the country, one powerful enough to flip control of the House and even, against the odds, put the Senate in play as well. But a somewhat different reality began to set in early in the evening as the familiar contours of red and blue America powerfully reasserted themselves. A change in the balance of power in the House would represent a pulling back from the president by key parts of the electorate, particularly by female voters. That alone could have a significant effect on the second half of Trump’s first term, particularly in Washington. But the overall voting patterns in House, Senate and gubernatorial contests signaled that the differences and divisions that have defined the country during Trump’s presidency remain and seemingly are growing stronger. That sets the stage for a contentious and competitive presidential election two years from now, with the stakes now higher than ever. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/newspolitics/a-split-america-reasserts-its-divisions-in-the-midterm-elections/ar-BBPrO5T?ocid=spartanntp
  4. 100% agree. Is Flint's poisonous water fixed yet? If not, why not? That's a national disgrace.
  5. yes, I know. It was tongue in cheek. I am in agreement with you, and that TUP is wrong here.
  6. why not?
  7. then I guess Obama was one of the worst presidents in history, by that metric.
  8. I don't know what this means.
  9. LOL - yes pointing out that the Democrats aren't very smart is an "ad hominem attack". Good grief. At least I'm not wishing death upon Democrat senators like certain posters here were doing with Republicans. That's a "divide", when you want the other side to just die.
  10. this is a sound argument, but what I would like to point out is that while Obama was in power the Democrats lost hundreds of seats and control of the House and Senate, as well as many governors, and I never heard anyone talk about Obama's "report card". Is this a "report card" or just a natural voting rhythm that happens every time there is a Democrat or Republican president? The same thing happens in Canada - when we have a Liberal like we do now, a lot of provinces go Conservative.
  11. and the only voice Bernie Sanders represented was the voice of insanity.
  12. the plan then is already doomed.
  13. 1984 - we club the Eskimos into the ground at home in the WSF, then defeat the almost unbeatable Lions on their home turf in the WF, despite the mass amount of crowd noise (this was the 1980's when people in BC used to attend Lions games), then we went into Edmonton for the Grey Cup and smoked the Dieter-led Ti-Cats. I see history repeating itself this year.
  14. my thoughts exactly. Bottle one already down last night. Up next...bottle two...
