  1. Ron Warner...great trip down memory lane. When he was here...3 man fronts were a FORCE.
  2. I find it interesting that the defense is where posters here feel there are players that we 'need to move on from.' They could be better, of course, but the defense is playing much better than the offense. And, several of those defensive players are key contributors on special teams. The much bigger issues for this team are on offense. You're sure about that? Not many Canadian DBs even start. He's one of the best defensive players in the league.
  3. Indeed. It was an easy exit from 232.
  4. Speaking of Charlie: on the pregame show Doug asked him how he always got back into Coach Ritchie's good graces? Chuck's response: "A sausage biscuit from Macdonald's."
  5. Agreed. But they settled down and were mostly solid. ZC wasn't throwing check downs immediately, he was going through several reads for the most part.
  6. Disagree, the OL wasn't bad today. I give them quite a bit of credit for how they are gelling with all the changes.
  7. 1. Ford. Big plays win games - he makes them. Noticed Harris overthrew that particular route, several times 2. Brady O. Brady is 3/4 of our O. Excellent results with check downs today. 3. Willy J. Came to play. Was getting mugged and still made a difference HH: ZC. He is getting it done HH #2: wife and I have a winning streak when we attend games. This one needed all 3 phases #forthew
  8. He was livid about that
  9. Sure was. Just barely got a set in early spring.
  10. Ahhh mean...Willy J beat that O all by hisself.
  11. See, I'm totally good with a team that needs all 3 phases to win...THAT'S entertaining football.
  12. The Elks are also better at the QB position, both starter and backup.
  13. Good job guys - was fun to 'watch'
  14. Ok fair. But without a crossover, 2 teams from the West must miss the playoffs. Predict or get off the pot. 😄
  15. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
  16. And very likely no crossover this year. Calgary and someone else will miss the playoffs. All bias aside, I think it'll be the Riders. They have a good D, but Harris & Co. play just well enough to lose.
  17. Passing on the shoulder definitely happens. I Saw a guy a few years ago, pass on the shoulder and smack right into a car that was turning.
  18. I'm sure it's all been analyzed with advanced statistics.
  19. Which was quarterbacked by a 41 year old Henry Burris - came back to the line up late in the season - IIRC
  20. A very underrated contributor.
  21. Friday's game was an exceptional situation.
  22. I agree. Far too many rants on the detour topic.
  23. Als dominated the second half. Doubt very many thought MBT would pull out a win.
  24. Another Desjarlais would be superb. He's a key cog in Ottawa
