Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Saskatchewan Roughriders GDT
In spite of all the lamentations about the DL, the Bombers have have allowed the fewest rushing yards per game in the CFL. Specials have been good too. There are a few bright spots on this team.

Back to Back - Blue Bombers vs Riders Pre-Game Chat
According to 12 weeks worth of stats, the 2 best run defenses in the league are going head to head on Sunday - based on average yards allowed per game. Let's hope our big boys up front have their chin straps on tight. (In other news, our offense leads the league in rushing)

Riders OL has given up 15 sacks. I watched their game against Montreal - they were literally pushing them around. I think our pass rush 'can' be vigorous, but many downs it is not. But...any given Sunday!

I don't expect to have a top tier team/QB every year, it's not realistic. I do think they will make the playoffs this year.

Our QB is serviceable, and there is some good talent here. We can't expect a first place team every year.

But, for example, the Montreal D was not really limited, but the Bombers' O did well. It all depends how you choose to see things.

It's almost never too late in CFL. Look at the Stamps, this year compared to last year.

I did say 'healthy' but thanks

Very few are as good as a healthy Dalton Schoen - most #1s are not of his calibre.

And I think Demski is a 1 or 1a receiver, based on how he's played this year. Wheatfall is showing flashes, but he keeps getting absolutely hammered.

I don't think OL is that bad in pass pro. They are just not as good as they were a few years ago. I would say the passing attack needs some adjustments, and those are slowly being made.

3 stars plus hh out meh the als
I thought this was a good game for the O. Montreal is always going to get pressure, they have a great D. 26 points and 200+ yards for BO, missing their undisputed #1 receiver - there's not much to criticize there

The big thing with Swaggerville was generating turnovers. But on the other side of ball, the O was mostly anemic. I remember them beating the Argos 13 - 12, with something like half a dozen turnovers from the D.

Bombers at Als early chat
I appreciated Younger's answer when he was asked why they let both Bighill and Alexander go at the same time, given how important leadership and communication are. "The other side of that is the physical toll that the game takes. Either way, you have a challenge. Whether the challenge is communication or physical limitations - you choose your challenge."

Bombers at Als early chat
Well, I wouldn't blame them for no longer wanting to start him It was quite noticeable in his last start, that he gets confused when a D shows different looks Throws a nice ball, but can't read a D very well

In my opinion, that is still to be determined. There were plenty of good catches last week, as well taking hellacious hits to make plays Ottawa might not have the best secondary, but they do play with aggression
