First, I'm not shitting on you. Some fans pay more attention to the team, that's just how it is. But one thing is certain: if performances like those we saw this past Saturday keep happening, the casual fans will vote with their feet. It has happened before, it will happen again. I remember attending a game at the end of 2014. Attendance was poor, and everyone but the die hards was there for the beer. The game consisted of watching Henry Burris and Co. shred our secondary. There have been some major warning signs. I mean, losing a Grey Cup to Nick Arbuckle - that's quite glaring if you stop to think about it.

I agree. To me it looks like teams have clued into schemes and/or inferior talents at some positions. OL, Receiver, maybe DL - I can understand why there would be challenges there. But the secondary was dominant last year, while the LB corps was certainly adequate. These guys didn't suddenly forget how to play football. Kick cover is as good as ever. The running game is solid and could be dominant if the passing game were more of a threat. Whatever is up with the secondary needs to be sorted out. And in my opinion the offense needs to revert to a more ball control type of game. They DON'T have the OL to make ZC's beloved deep shots work consistently. With some adjustments, this could be a .500 football team. Just my realistic 0.02

It's scary when look at who the Argos were starting on OL and at QB. If they'd ground out a close win, that would be one thing. But the Bombers never even had a chance to win. And I'd say the casual fans have clued in by now.

And I agree with that. But 2019-2021 was far more than luck.

I need to remind that there was a time when you also opined that things were good, and expounded at length on how O'Shea's culture attracts players. It was not just media sound bites, there was a time when players legit wanted to play in Winnipeg.

It's surreal that the people who managed this team / roster from 2018-2021, are same people who have been managing it from 2022 to the present. They had: culture, depth, Canadians, developed a QB (Brown), a physical team, etc. How do you consciously decide to stray away from that blueprint?

Maybe they need to 'see it on film.'
