Just to reiterate this, since I’ve seen it mentioned a couple times in this thread. the Bombers didn’t do Wilson a solid at all, they don’t have a choice. I don’t know why teams typically word it as a release, it’s a player opt-out that the teams have no ability to deny as long as it’s within the time the option window is open (January 6 to mid-February) Wilson opted out of his contract and signed an acknowledgment that if he returns to the CFL, it’s under the terms of the previous contract he opted out of.

I remember like probably about 15 years ago (christ I am old) I was at a social at Oak Park and Mike Richards was there. He went out to the parking lot and I walked by and said “hey Flyers suck!” and he called me and a buddy over and said yeah they do suck I hate it there I wanna get traded, gave me a Pabst Blue Ribbon and we shot the **** for five minutes before we grabbed a picture and went on our way. He got traded like a month later.

Tony Jones isn’t an impact player. He’s an average MLB, above average rotational piece.

I don’t know if I’d gamble on that this early on. Especially with this year’s draft being so thin on OL, you’re not going to replace Wallace so I’d try to keep Dobson for sure
