This is a huge flyer. But hey, why not.

Super thrilled about the Edmonton regional ... definitely the best regional of the three Pospischil should definitely get an invite to the main combine, I'd be very surprised if he didn't. Curious to see Janke, Johnson, Tsoumpas, Lawrence and Kankolongo as well, I could see them plus a couple hogs all having a shot at being invited to the main combine.

Good point, if Bryant gets seriously injured I'm not sure this O-line will do much better than last years edition. An upgrade at Center is great but it's not going to help them much out on the wings. Bombers are very high on Jace Daniels, who would fill in at LT if Bryant got injured. Devin Tyler is another option there as well. I'd say our OL depth this year is better than it was last year. I'd still like to find a way to keep Morley around, but I understand there are some cap issues with that. Jace Daniels just filling in? Devin Tyler?? We had the worst OL in the CFL last year. Our starters were for the most part useless & our backups even worse. So, if a few of the new guys go down hey... it's... no... big... deal. The B Team can fill in & we don't miss a beat. We're solid! Yeesh. This is basically just a classic example of painting every player with the same brush. Jace Daniels didn't take a lot of snaps, but when he was in there, he was great. Just because our OL sucked as a whole doesn't mean we didn't have some capable players. Devin Tyler kinda sucks though.

Why do you constantly have to do this?
-
Don't know how we can possibly project OL picks until the combine.

There's a reason Harris left Manitoba.

This is just untrue.

Even my mom told me she's heard the Bogosian rumors. The problem is that everyone loves a story.

That's a weird arrangement that your fees don't cover internet, but they cover home phone and cable. Seems like you lose out on the ability to bundle + save. I think for everything included, your $400 is a good deal. If I get my Internet through Shaw, which I do, I still get the bundle discount. Oh okay, that's cool then that it's worked out that way.

He's got one hell of a resume.

Been looking into buying a condo recently and what I will say is that the condo that we seriously considered was brand new (built in 2014) and the condo fees were lower than that for a $279,000 condo but they didn't include all of our utilities or a gym facility (all of which you seem to be undervaluing a bit, in my opinion) The fees were $130/month. Does it cover your internet? Or just your cable TV / home phone? Gym / rec center probably isn't equivalent to a stand alone gym, but you won't get a membership at a place like Goodlife or the Y for $40 either so you've got some savings there. The other utilities are low and would likely go up if you lived in your own home. I guess what you've got to look at is, if you lived in a house would you be okay with spending $400 a month on all of that stuff and honestly, my answer would be a resounding yes. The trade off obviously is the stuff that you get when you own a home as opposed to a condo (more yard but more work, a basement but more work, it's all a balance based off preference) Also, I'm shocked what you're describing was assessed at only $220,000. If you don't mind me asking, what specific part of the south end are you located in?

Very excited for Swiston. Hoping he does well in Calgary, he's busted his ass to get healthy.

Bottom line to me is that the old laws (distracted driving etc.) were about safety and the no-cellphone laws are about revenue generation. Cops pretending to be beggars at stop lights really hit this home. And I've never been ticketed for either. I know someone who got out of a ticket by doing this. Said the reason she was holding her phone was because she was worried the panhandler aggressively knocking on her window was trying to break in and she was preparing to call 911. Judge threw the ticket out, even with the cop in attendance.

Shows just how watered down the Canadian OL talent pool is getting around the league. Well exactly.. If they couldn't stick here... The worst oline in almost the past decade.. It's sad to imagine they get looks (even tfc type ones) elsewhere.. Guess a body is a body for a Dlineman to tee off on.. When your problem was injury, not talent (like it is with both Swiston and Pencer) then you're going to get multiple looks at a high demand, low supply position. I think Swiston has a chance. Pencer is a write off as far as I'm concerned.

So you expect Durant to step right in his rookie year and make an impact as the starting X for the Bombers? Okay. I know the easy response to this is to point out that Kito Poblah didn't pan out, but Lemar Durant is probably the most solid REC prospect the CFL has seen since Kito Poblah. Shamawd Chambers is up there too. Durant is a very solid receiver and I definitely wouldn't write him off as a potential year one starter. There are going to be a few of them in this draft and I think he's got as good a shot as any.
-
okay. You're right. Do you feel better now?
-
It's open to interpretation. I don't see us taking Demski though. Durant is the better prospect and I do think he suits the mold of what we're looking for better.
-
I'm totally not opposed to picking Lemar Durant at number 2 if available.

[Blue Bomber Talk] Early thoughts on 2015 CFL Draft
Mike replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Love his thought process, don't see it shaking out that way but hey, it's draft talk. -
The potential for deterioration from Buff is valid. He's going to age quicker than many players. But he can still bring so much that isn't reliant on his athleticism.
-
They don't need two import tailbacks unless one of them serves another purpose (a fullback type, a kick returner, etc)
-
You can have prospects, but you pay a guy like Buff. You need your veterans. I'd get rid of Ladd long before I got rid of Buff. Buff is our identity.

If Sheets comes here he will be the primary back, he's proven. Not anymore he's not. And that's what the concern is. He's a 30 year running back who played VERY well in his last stint in pro ball. But he's coming off a torn Achilles (which does heal strong) and he hasn't played ball in a year after being in NFL shape instead of CFL shape. If that's proven, I don't know what unproven is.
