Maybe it'll change your mind. And my mind. But in my honest opinion, it's not going to change the general perception. Look at the way the majority of people responded to the Hamilton win. And FWIW, I think Hamilton and Edmonton (especially Edmonton) are far from the best teams in the CFL right now.
-
Speaking of a gift, how about the Drew Willy fumble where he butterfingered it right to Hamilton? I bet that's different though.

I don't think anything short of a lengthy win streak is going to silence our critics. Even two games in a row won't do it, nor should it. Those who have made up their mind to be negative are going to do so until we win something of substance and for the most part, blinders to any progress along the way will be in full effect.

Can't play the "but without so and so" game. Everyone is talking about how bad our secondary is and how bad our pass coverage is but nobody is saying "but hey, they ARE missing one of the league's best corners" No excuses.
-
Tackles 30 yards away from where they should have been made are worth just as much.
-
Willie Jefferson too - they're missing a lot of pieces on defense. That secondary is a disaster. Worse than ours is right now.

It's not my fault you took this thread off topic by thinking a discussion of Mike O'Shea's future was relevant. It's a game day thread. To discuss the game. Today's game.
-
I couldn't care less about the behind-the-scenes "will they, won't they" O'Shea nonsense. What I care about is our record this season. It's the fourth game of the year, our fourth chance at a win, our first chance to win at home and a chance to get to .500 and hopefully in a playoff spot in our division. That's what I care about. I want to see us win.
-
It's game four of this season. That's all that matters.

Edmonton has had a real difficult time with the ball carrier coming out of the backfield this year, which bodes well for us. In fact, Ottawa uses very much a similar style of offense to us and they had their way with the Edmonton defense. Their offense is going to get their points, that much is almost a guarantee. But their pass rush has been fairly weak and their LB/DB pass coverage has been atrocious. If I had to pick guys that are going to have a field day today, I'd suggest we'll see a lot of Weston Dressler, Jace Davis and Andrew Harris.

Depth Chart is up - Johnny Adams listed on roster
Mike replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
What confuses me is why would Sheppard be the one coming on to the roster if they legitimately need another receiver. Mayo played unreal. The only thing I can think of is that they have a specific purpose for Sheppard in mind, which could be a TE type role. -
The funny thing about all this arguing re: Sewell vs Laurent is that Drake Nevis is better than both of them. But Laurent IS better than Sewell. Drake Nevis + Ted Laurent is a terrifying combo. And we handled it well.

Andrew Harris

Yeah, no clue why you'd be excited about him to be honest. Not an intriguing prospect from where I sit. I like Lankford better myself.
-
Collins is a fun receiver to watch. Happy we have Jace and Mayo, but Collins would've been nice to have here.

It's funny how people didn't believe it last year when Hurl was the MLB, but buy into the concept now that Bass is. Nothing has changed.
-
Traditional MLB is a thing of the past, it seems. Or maybe "out of style" is the better way to describe it. Way too many coordinators using their MLB to funnel and fill gaps now.
-
This would be a lot more reasonable of a post if it was coming from somebody who doesn't behave the same way when we lose. You're very much of a "a loss is a loss is a loss" person, so when you're not the same way with a win, it stands out. What you're saying is completely truthful - there are specific factors that contributed to the win that we can't rely on every game - but I hope you understand why people are skeptical to buy into it when it comes from you.

Odds and Sods - Game 3 - Bombers at TigerCats
Mike replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
He went out in an attempt to make a play on the ball carrier, therefore he was allowed back in. That was how they ruled it. -

I don't think anyone actually has a problem with his opinion. I sure don't. I have a problem with him arguing with me, telling me my opinion is something that it isn't. -
I thought this until I looked at some of the comparables. Helm @ 3.8, Sutter @ 4.375 and Bozak @ 4.2 has me loving this contract.

If you're not interested in reading the posts you want to argue against, you're probably right that this isn't the place for you. I have yet to see you reply to a post in a manner that actually addressed the post you're replying to. All you've done so far is reply to a bunch of statements nobody is making. Case in point? Nobody here has said they aren't troubled by 7 wins in 32 games. -
I'm already on record stating that one of Edmonton and Calgary misses the playoffs this year.

Seems like you're more interested in cherry picking a few buzzwords out of posts rather than actually reading them. Your last two posts have done exactly what Jimmy suggested. You're convoluting the statements of other posters and exaggerating them to make people sound as if they're saying something that they are not. Maybe you should invest a few more minutes into actually reading the content of a post before you reply to it.
