  1. That makes no sense. If Brady O is MOP how could he not also be the top Canadian
  2. Picks need to be in by Saturday @ 2PM Standings below:
  3. We have a parking pass for the Bombers. But either way, I doubt we'd make it in time as traffic gets so congested at IG Field the closer you get to game start.
  4. We have that Jets game as part of our mini pack. Even with them moving the time back, still tight to make the Bomber game. Either we skip the Jets game or leave the Jets game early (and have to bring winter clothes to the game). Still deciding.
  5. They moved to Saturday so they don't compete with the NFL

  7. Has the loss of Rigmaiden back to BC finally caught up to our neg list?
  8. The first 3 years the Jets were back there was a palpable organic party vibe in the arena. People were just happy to have the team back. There were the random chants that would source up from the crowd, there was electricity in the air when you were there, it was a fun place to be even without the team winning. That has slowly declined since then. The Jets now need to work to bring that back as it isn't just "happening" on its own anymore.
  9. We moved from a group to a mini pack last year (rest of the group didn't want to renew). They are way more convenient. Seems to me groups are dying out with demand not there and mini packs weren't originally available when they came back with demand being what it was. We took the weekend pack, which is more expensive games. We are close to center ice, upper deck, and pay $1000 per seat (after tax) for 11 games .
  10. Isn’t this true for any play by play broadcaster? 😀

  12. I've been using a SPOT Gen3 just for piece of mind that people can find us or reach out for help in the most extreme of cases when we are on multi day hiking / canoeing trips in the backwoods. But I only need it a few month out of the year, so I only pay monthly, but they charge reconnection fees every time. Will be really interesting to see what the price point for this is and how much traffic they can handle. Will this potentially be a replacement for cell phones outside of large metropolitan areas where the infra costs for telecom providers are high compared to subscribers.

  15. Is there a benefit to running it as a repeater on an FM station or is it just the cheapest thing to do? Seems to me anyone who has a FM radio already has AM and AM has a longer range.
  16. Fixed Was trying to make the remaining BC schedule harder

    Covid-19

It’s not to be a ****. How many companies closed down. How many people couldn’t work, lost their jobs that the government had to step in with that benefit. The Canadian government even called it a lockdown benefit. I’m not saying it was the wrong decision, not even saying it shouldn’t happen again if a variant comes out that it was way more contagious and / or deadly. But to say everyone impacted by those closures wasn’t in a lockdown because of what happened in Italy is just trying to word smith this. When people say they don’t want lockdowns again, it is what they experienced here in Canada. Not about something they didn’t experience.

I bit of mixing going on in this thread as mentioned. Antibiotics fight bacteria, not viruses. As for antibiotics in cows, from my understanding (and I'm not an expert here, so feel free to correct me here) they are used in cases when animals are in close quarters to prevent spread of disease, and there is some evidence that they also help cattle grow faster / bigger. Some of the issues with this, as Tracker mentioned, this is giving antibiotics as a prophylactic, meaning before an infection. When done like this, bacteria will mutate faster and gain immunity over the antibiotic which can also affect how resistant the antibiotics are for humans.

  22. The CFL doesn't officially share salaries. It is usually leaked. And I have the least amount of faith in the leaked CFL salaries compared to the other professional sports.
