Schenn is playing too much. Playing him in back to back games seems like a bad idea. Namestnikov back at 2C because they haven’t tried that yet…. Oh wait, he’s been there most of the season and has 8 points. Ugh. Can we somehow pull out a win tonight? Losing to the Leafs is a special kind of infuriating.

I don’t think those contracts would be considered ‘big’ the way numbers are now trending.

Well, it’s been a half season of poor results and falling in the standings…. It’s not like they’re 2 years deep or something. But that has to be a concern, among other concerns of a team trying to gain some kind of traction.

Getting a decent 2nd line? But the Jets likely won’t be buyers at this point. I’ve said it before, but I’d give Barron a shot at center on the 2nd line…. With Perfetti and Iafallo or Vilardi, if they want to mess with the 1st again.

Sure, he fanned and it caused a turnover, but we put the puck in our own net. I don’t think you can lay all the blame on DeMelo. He wouldn’t even make my top 10 of the Jets problems.

We pass up too many shooting opportunities. Not good enough to be looking for the perfect tic tac toe goals.

Stanley has been much improved this season, but that was a definite brain fart, followed by some bad luck. The Jets have played better than the score indicates. They’ve been the better team, for sure.

Namestnikov is the 2nd line center no matter what, I guess. Apparently 8 points is adequate for that position.

What did the team go through?

Yeah, the Jets have issues, for sure, but DeMelo isn’t one of them. And the penalty he got with just under 3 minutes left in the 3rd was complete BS.

I know I’m harping on this too much, but I just don’t understand continually putting Namestnikov at 2nd line center. He’s not good at face offs and not putting up points. If he was at least doing one of those things, you could overlook the other…. But he’s not.

This would be the best news of the offseason. The D line could be so much better with him gone.

Maybe Stanley should be our 2nd line center.

Really hope they’re not rushing this…. We all want Helle back, but he’s not going to cure our horrible defending.

Getting Namestnikov off the 2nd line would be a start. He is way overvalued by this team, for some reason. You can’t have a 2nd line center that is 35% in the face off circle. Especially when he’s only got 8 damn points. It’s insane. I know we don’t have a lot of options, but I’d give Barron a shot there. Perfetti, Barron, Vilardi. At the very least you get a 50% face off guy, and Barron also has 8 points in less games with far less opportunities.

Jets are finally generating some offense, but their defending is absolutely abysmal. So many high danger opportunities…. And guys just wide open, completely unaccounted for. Maybe a couple guys trying to do too much and leaving their structure…. Can’t do it…. Breakdown city.

Yeah, Lowry having a bad night really hurts because some of those losses were on the PK, giving Dallas instant possession. So one stat feeds the other.

Disappointing to get another loss, for sure, but at least we showed some push offensively and actually outshot our opponent. Still giving up too many high danger chances and we got creamed in the face off department and special teams.

That penalty was total bullshit. Then when we’re about to kill it off, Samberg has his stick held…. No call…. In our net. We’re not a good team right now, but we’re also not getting anything breaks.

I understand the desire to shuffle, but I don’t understand those moves. Pearson on the 2nd? Vilardi on the 3rd? Namestnikov still on the 2nd? He is overvalued IMO. At the very least, switch Pearson and Vilardi. Pearson is not a 2nd liner and Vilardi is not a checker.
