So after the Bombers win, what is the preferred outcome of the rest of the games? BC wins and puts Edmonton out of their misery? I think in this situation if Calgary goes 0-2 the Bombers can finish 2nd. BC Loses and Calgary Wins which means the Bombers can't get second but the Elks are mathematically eliminated? BC Loses and Calgary Loses and the Bombers have a chance to either host a home playoff game or be eliminated entirely based on Week 21? The Bombers have the tie break head-to-head against both the Lions and the Elks. In a three-way tie I think they come out ahead (Winnipeg 3-1, BC 2-3, Edmonton 2-3) but any tie breaker involving Calgary I think the Bombers lose because of the 0-3 debacle.

Didn't the current Bombers just dog-walk the Tigercats to the tune of 40-3?

So what's the deal with the furor surrounding these passes? They decided to combine the concerts and the team parties and that make it harder to secure team party access? Is there less supply than there has been in other Grey Cups?

So 2 weeks to go to make the playoffs and the player with the 2nd most receiving yards on the active roster is the RB... and the player with the most is playing his first game since being murdered across the middle and missing 3 weeks. NBD

Just feed Brady the ball. He is down on touches this week. Have him touch the ball 30 times and rack up 300 yards from scrimmage

Please dress an extra WR for this game

Isn't there a direct butterfly effect surround Durant signing a contract, collecting his bonus, abruptly retiring and the Bombers signing Bighill?

I didn't get to watch most of the game did Streveler actually get reps at receiver!?? I was joking about that!

It's possible after this week, the West #1 and East #1 and #2 seeds are all locked in, which means the last two Bomber opponents might not have much to play for other than staying healthy. That and them both being home games bodes pretty well for a home playoff game if they can take care of business tomorrow.

The Craig Roh thing always seemed incredibly sad to me. It is my understanding that Colon cancer is pretty slow as far as cancers go, to go from being on a pro roster in 2021 to diagnosed with Stage IV cancer in 2022 is a pretty rough turn around. Colon cancer specifically is hard to screen for in younger people and not really on most peoples radar until 45+. I wonder if anything in a teams medical would possibly flag anything like that.

Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

To put things in perspective, the Argos and the Riders play tomorrow night... by my count, on the Argos Active roster, they are playing only 2 players who have played a game in a season where the Bombers didn't participate in a Grey Cup (excluding this one) -
If Demski is out does that mean that Streveler slots in at Receiver?
-
Dru Brown shut down for the season now too. Not sure why you would turn your team over from a 28 year old QB you have signed next year who doesn't appear to be injured but has struggled this year and probably needs to work through some stuff to someone who is going to be a free agent but Ottawa gonna Ottawa I guess

Argos entering hibernation mode. McManis got shut down for the season https://3downnation.com/2025/10/08/toronto-argos-shut-down-star-lb-wynton-mcmanis-with-groin-injury-report/

The reasoning for removing 10 yards from the field is dumb as well. Just come out and say the medium-term plan for the league is expanding into other markets, and the current footprint of the field is going to be an issue in moving into markets with existing infrastructure.

Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

The difference in Completion Percentage between Bombers and the #2 Riders is 5.2 percent... the difference between the Riders and #9 Edmonton is 3.7. The Bombers have been riding that and a pretty serviceable special teams to limit TDs -
Former Bombers in NFL (and spring leagues) news
ShyGuy replied to WinnipegGordo's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
In this fantasy land all non-NFL/NCAA leagues are playing under a unified Canadian Rules football system The biggest problem logistically is when the teams are active I think. The way Soccer works is you quality for in-season champions tournaments the season before, so 2024-25 qualifies you for 2025-26 You could let the UFL/FAM-YOX season play out and have their champions immediately turn around and play the latest Grey Cup champions with the lead-in to the season (read: 1 preseason game or a scheduled week 1 bye) Or just go full carnie and find 9 non-Canadian teams, right after pre-season match every team up with an opponent, bill it as CFL vs the World and declare a winner based on aggregate. -

If you bump up the UFL a month you would have that and FAM-YOX running until July I think... maybe the reigning Grey Cup champ sacrifices a preseason game and has a scheduled week 1 or 2 bye. It's messy but you can probably make it work -

I always thought it would be neat if they could convince some of these other leagues to adopt 3 down football. Like... don't merge with the UFL but have them adopt CFL rules and that opens up for some exhibition games or some sort of tournament like Soccer does. -
How did Mauldin end up playing for the Stamps? Saw he was a starter did he didn't record any stats at least

Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

So interesting to think about, if Hamilton beats Calgary on the 11th, the Bombers control their destiny for the 2nd spot in the West, and that result locks in Saskatchewan to 1st in the west and Hamilton to 1st in the East... so the Week 20 game is a home against a Riders team with nothing to play for but not get injured, and Week 21 is a home game against the Als who have nothing to play for but not getting injured. -
Ham @ Tor // Cgy @ BC -- Saturday Football
ShyGuy replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
If the Bombers lose out and the Elks win out the Elks would be in 4th. If the Elks lose one but one of the games they win is against the Bombers, the Elks would have to win by at least 14 -

So the lead-in to the double header today is bull riding? Can't find enough content for a 30 minute lead-in to preview the games today or recap last game TSN? -
Last year at least he seemed very feast and famine. He'd end up with 70 yards but how did he get there? a bunch of 2 yard carries, a couple decent runs in the 5-7 range and then something in the 30+ range. So you get one good drive out of him but the rest of the time he is stalling your offense. He seems to be a bit more consistent this year, but in this game... 18 carries for 53 yards and a long of 8 is rough... yeah he was running the QB Short Yardage package but that is still not great. No doubt in my mind Brady ends up in front at the end of the season, his average is right around the other leaders but he's only been below that number once in the last 6 games, the LDC where he inexplicably only got 5 carries. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at 1400 yards on the year.

Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
ShyGuy replied to Atomic's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
So that is the end of the Bombers hopes for the West Division isn't it? Can only get to 11 wins and the Riders are already there... could conceivably make it to 11 but the Riders have the tie breaker. If it's the Riders, Bombers and Lions at 11 wins, Riders would get the tiebreaker because they would be 4-2 vs 3-3 and 2-4. If its all 4 I think the Stamps actually come up on top.
