  1. They played pretty good, they made it a game for a bit. We were just a bit better and pulled away when all the chips were down. Sask. looked better than they did in the past. In that sense they should be happy. Harriss is a good QB, but ours is better and although he put up some great stats IMO Zach was still the better QB that game Looking across the league VA has looked pretty good, but history tells us he is a very emotional and that get's the best of him and he suffers through wild ups and downs, very interested to see how he looks this Thursday Corny has looked unfortunately bad this year Mair got some stats late last week but has looked mostly bad to be honest Arbuckle has been a disaster Bo has played the worst that he ever has in his entire professional career the last two weeks and is now injured again to boot Fajardo looked competent in Mtrl. but I can't see him lasting getting hit so much...can it all be o-line or does the responsibility start to fall on him.... Kelly started hot and used his legs well, but we have seen this playbook before once teams get film/tendencies he probably won't get away with that So really outside of Zach only three guys have looked good VAJ, Kelly and Harriss and out of the three one could argue Harriss has looked the best. Other teams need some positives too it can't just be all Bombers or it would get boring...
  2. Indigenous-themed alternate uniforms worn during games could be a viable idea for 2023, teams wear alternates anyway, I think it would be a forward thinking classy move by the CFL to consider.
  3. It does seem like the Riders have more excuses, refs, injuries, sickness, CoVid, unfair suspensions, schedule etc. Now while some of the excuses are legit all teams have obstacles to get over, I think it's great that they keep looking at excuses and blaming outside circumstances for their struggles. The more they do that, the less they look in the mirror and actually become accountable. It was an interesting article to read, an while probably factually true, it does not truly account for the impact of certain players injured, for example as mentioned above BC losing Rourke is hard to compare to a fringe player. However to try and determine that would be very speculative. I am glad to see us somewhere close to the middle, and hopefully the remainder of the season will see us move up up the list to the least injured team.
  4. If you interpreted my initial statement as me claiming he wasn't playing well, then I did a poor job with that post. I believe Bailey is a great blocker and a great teammate, he had a fantastic game last week and his TD was one of the best cases of effort you will ever see, I do however hope that with injuries to Ellingson and Woli he can continue to evolve his game, his role within the offence and his chemistry with Zach and that the game we saw last week will inspire and all him and all his teammates so he can consistently put up yards like he did last week at least while we have injury issues.
  5. I fully agree JCon he is a great blocker and all indications an absolute great teammate. Noeller, no need to get personal, and or insulting that was not called for. I don't feel bad, I actually feel great and want to thank you for actually uplifting my mood today and putting me into a more positive mind space. 17to85 opinions being factually correct or not is all of opinion After listening to the responses I agree that my opinion of him "lighting a fire" under his but was not the best statement to put out. He has shown amazing passion and fire since the Banjo Bowl 2019. Moving forward I stand by my opinion that hopefully he continues to build chemistry with Zach, especially with the aforementioned injuries. Nothing but love, I hope Bailey has a great rest of this season, whatever role he plays
  6. Fair enough on your difference in opinion...you do know what an opinion is though right....and that they are just that opinions....but thanks for clearly stating your superiority on opinions as people who rarely post loved being belittled on a fan forum.
  7. It was an amazing effort by Bailey, hopefully this last game is what he needs to "light a fire" under his but. He has shown he has the talent and ability, but he has not yet been consistent. With Ellingson out for the foreseeable future let's hope Bailey can build on this momentum and build further chemistry with Zack, especially if he is without Woli (Mr 2nd down clutch) for any length of time.
  8. Regarding the Philips incident, it didn't come out at first that he refused a breathalyzer. That changes everything completely. I have had a few personal instances to speak on this. Time 1- a passenger with friends at approx.. 3:30am on the way home. We get pulled over by RCMP, driver asks why, officer indicates he took a wide left turn as the reason for the stop, proceeds to ask if the driver had been drinking as one of the first rounds of questions, driver admits to having a couple. Officer requests breathalyzer in this time 2 other cruisers with additional cops arrive. No one in the car was aggressive or non compliant. Driver exited the vehicle and was put in the back of a cruiser to do a breathalyzer, while we were carefully watched by other officers. He failed and was arrested and the car impounded, we were all free to go expect him. Time 2-me and my girlfriend at the time approx. 4:00am on the way to my place. We get pulled over by RCMP, I am extremely polite and cooperative, but ask the reason for my stop. Was told that the officer had a hard time reading my plate (it was spring and it did have some road dirt on it) like the first example one of the first questions asked to me was have you been drinking. I admitted to a couple, being honest, and was asked to do a breathalyzer, I complied and passed. Like the previous time between being pulled over and the breathalyzer other officers arrived at he scene. I was not given any tickets and was free to go on my way. Time 3-I previously bartended so was often driving between 3 and 4am. This time coming home from work, pulled out of the parking lot where I worked and was pulled over within 45 seconds. Same story I asked why, was told my tint looked to dark on my truck (it was factory done) This time it was Winnipeg Police not RCMP, and the guy was not nice at all. I explained to him that the tint was factory and that no I hadn't been drinking that I just got off work, non the less he was having none of it as he explained my truck smelled like a brewery. So with 3 other cruisers attending the scene and multiple officers all around my truck including shining flashlights in at me I again agreed to do a breathalyzer, this time I was handcuffed. Of course I passed but the officer still wrote me ticket for my tint (Which I later fought and won on) by the way this entire stop was around 45 minutes long. Time 4- Same scenario leaving work some time around 3:30am. Pulled over in my back-lane one house away from home. I asked why I was pulled over and was told that it was due to me completing two left turns in a row-according to the officer two quick turns in the same direction is an indication of trying to lose someone following them. Again the officer went straight to the have been drinking tonight, which I again replied no I am just leaving work. I had a Bud light cooler bag on the passenger seat, which he or his partner saw, they were each at the front windows looking in with flashlights. I explained it was being used as my lunch bag and it did not have any alcohol in it. Once again a second cruiser showed up. The second one had a breathalyzer in the car and I agreed to take it, I passed but this was not good enough for them. They proceeded to keep me in the back of a cruiser while we waited for another available cruiser and officer with a different breathalyzer, eventually one did show up and again I passed. I was let go without any tickets or warning, but this stop took over and hour and a half and the original cruiser left his lights on the entire time in my back lane so many of my neighbors must have wondered what the heck I had done as I could see some of them out in their backyard's. Anyway long story short as you can see from my personal experience Police both City and RCMP will stop you at that time of the morning for almost anything to make sure you are not driving intoxicated. While all of my experiences were frustrating, I was never arrested and even in the instance where my friend was, we always agreed to the breathalyzer. I am sure if any of those times I refused I would have been arrested on the spot. Oh and each time multiple officers attended and some times "surrounded me" and /or shone flashlights at me etc. it was not profiling on me. So in conclusion Ryan's stop does not sound any different then mine, except that he refused a breathalyzer and was arrested because of that. My understanding from my stops (officers indicating this to me) is that IF you refuse you are automatically found guilty of a DUI and face the same consequences as failing. So I would say Ryan is in a fair bit of trouble as a DUI is a criminal charge, requires special documentation to cross boarders, complicated working Visas and costs thousands of dollars in fines and fees, not to mention having a vehicle impounded, and all those related costs and headaches and a minimum 12 month license suspension, and mandatory alcohol awareness training. That seems like a lot of headaches and costs, if he was actually sober and straight......
  9. I wish LaPo all the best. I think we will probably see what Buck can do here. I do think Sask is better with Mass I do think Campbell is better than Claybrooks Very curious to see how FA goes. My guess as to QBs Collarris goes to Ott. Arbuckle to T.O as well as one of Nichols or Masoli. Wpg re-sings Strev. And the other of Masoli or Nichols.
  10. Lol...when I read this I actually thought about it and yes this is probably true
  11. An amazing turnout. The QB's dressed to impress! Weather cooperated, all and all a perfect celebration. I am considering the Social this Friday?
  12. That's it im drinking couger juice red wine in nothing but shorts and uggs every bomber game now...lol
  13. J sqaured....in the first half.. Jefferson, Jeffcoat on fire...Hit of the year possibly by Hanson
  14. anyone else think the lead singer looks like brittany Spears
  15. While Dyson played at and over the line at times, that isolation cam ruined his career and to this day i say was BS!
  16. Im going with a couple bottles of red wine.....so, for Zach's first game I realized I was out of beer and my wife had this bottle of red wine someone gave her, so I figured what the heck I will try this....well Zach and the Bombers won so each week now I have been buying the same Cougar juice red wine and so far it's worked out well for me and the Bombers.
  17. my 2 cents the fumble... it was a forward pass.....but I stand by Fajardo was over the line of scrimmage.
  18. 1 gauthier 2 gauthier 3 gauthier HH gauthire
  19. They can pan to his wife between all plays, she is certainly easy on the eyes. In all honesty though Fajardo's injury and his story makes news, All broadcasters pick a story or two, this game has lot's; Rivalry, Jefferson vs. Hughes, Collaris vs his old team, Fajardo injury, Strevelor injury, rookie Dickie coach, Evans injury, the 13th man, yes if Fajardo's dad/wife are there to watch him in his first playoff game, Powell vs, Harris #2 vs #1 rushing. Both sites are very confident going in. Sask is good, they have talent, we need to play a he11 of a game to win, can the Bombers play that type of a game in the riders back yard....yes.
  20. 2 cents worth, we start the game with 3 or 4 man rush take away the running lanes and the middle of the field. Try and make Sask grind out the run on us or have Fajardo try and complete long sideline throws or deep balls, let him get outside the tackles and test his mobility early. The worst thing we can do is let him stay in the pocket and beat us with quick throws and screens.
  21. Yes and when it is that cold the ball is different. It feels like it's heavier and denser. It doesn't seem to have the plyability that it normally does. I can completely understand how receivers dropped balls and snaps and throws were a little off. I too have played in that type of weather. Your finger tips and toes numb up a little, even a slight breeze makes your eyes water, as you breath heavy your hot humid breath makes your nose run, and it doesn't stop, somehow even your equipment feels heavier.
  22. At the end of the day we beat Cal. in Cal. that was huge. We are a good team with Collaris and Strev. but let's not forget that Fajardo led the league in passing and that Sask won the West and earned the right to play at home. We have an amazing home crowd but so does Sask. Big games in Regina are hard to win, we can win ,we have showed we can but they will not be easy to beat at home. I truly believe that the level of Fajardo's injury will be a massive factor. We can make fun of his arm strength and his "spin" move but he beat many teams including us twice with it. Best case for the Bombers is that his back is too aggravated to play.
