Honest to God. I was sitting here wondering if he expected him to run around the end zone for 14sec before kicking the ball.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. As a former announcer it may be obvious to me but not others. When working in teams announcers sometimes take on attributes or characteristics of the people with whom they work. I think DN takes on irritating attributes of GS when they work together. I hope that clears things up.

He has a couple of crutches that bug me and they're both indicative of buying time to think of what to say next. 1 is his halting - period. after. every. word. crutch 2 is adding an "uh" to the end of words'uh. You know what I mean'uh? Other than that I find him genial and enthusiastic enough although I would prefer a little less of both. But most of what bugs me about him is that he always works with Suitor.

He's getting roasted on X because he's chastising anyone who isn't as willing to slobber all over Rourke as he is.

With the officiating being this incompetent coaches should be given an extra challenge and should be allowed to continue challenging so long as the calls are overturned. Why punish a team when all they're doing is highlighting your incompete....oh, yeah. Artificial intelligence? I'd settle for some good ol fashioned normal intelligence. As I've shared before. It could have been written with CFL officiating in mind. In those instances where a team is inside their 5 yard line...or in this case on the 1...and get a penalty they can't march off backwards, why not just add it to the the other end? Seems stupid to let them get away with penalties simply because they shot themselves in the foot on field position.

The only thing about it that was more egregious was Suitor saying the defender hit him from the side when you could CLEARLY see his hands on the numbers on his back.

Did they back it up or abstain. I don't recall hearing a review but I may have missed it. Edit: Apparently there was a review. I missed it. But I never heard Proulx with the "After review the ruling on the field stands"

You know darn well he added all those qualifiers beforehand out of fear of being chastised by the league for simply stating a demonstrable fact. That or he's just a interminable suck-up...although the options aren't mutually exclusive

I literally lost count of the number of non-scoring plays/non-turn over calls that the CC chose to automatically review without the need for a challenge. It happened in last week's BC-Calgary game, too The lack of consistency in the application of this type of review is embarrassing and honestly reeks of ineptitude at best...bias at worst.

Next up...Weston Dressler

At first I thought his Cup struggles were due to the weather...then, after the second Cup flop, I figured he's tightening up in high pressure situations. Now the pressure is weekly, as we're in a big hole and he's sensing it all slipping away, and he is making ridiculous mistakes, lots of happy feet and floundering. Physically he's no spring chicken but I think his head is really messing with him. Although...fearing losing your physical talents can mess with your head, too.

Wow...so this is what the game looks like when refs call holding and the CC does automatic reviews and doesn't make you waste challenges.
