Looks like we'll be running the same defense again, as well. Unless we sign a couple of vets for the DL in free agency. Kind of arrogant mistakes that eventually takes a team from first to worst. Seen it a hundred times in football.

We had that in 2019 & 2021. Instead of replacing veterans as we went along, we went to another style of defense that could win lots of regular season games but when we absolutely had to shut a team down to win a championship the past 3 years failed miserably. I just remember watching Thomas against the Argos being stood up & pushed back every play with our useless 3 man front. We didn't want Sayles.

We better be active trying to do just that instead of sleep walking thru this off eason as we seem to be doing.

Other blacks felt prejudice & racism yet never let that stop them from trying to make the world a better place. I never walked in his shoes as a man so maybe I'm the wrong person to say this. I'd hope that I'd try to see the good in most people instead of being this angry & bitter old man that Shivers became. If you let it then hatred will consume you. Before anyone says that I am a bitter old man already, let me say this. I'm grouchy but I'm not angry. I was yelling at clouds when I was 12.

Dukes is still trash. He had a pretty good OC & QB coach in Dinwiddie & he still struggled. He doesn't have the pedigree as an NAIA qb at Lindsey Wilson College.

Well, pressure from the Front 7 won the Eagles a Super Bowl. Took Mahomes right off his game & neutralized the Chiefs offnse. Hey, Osh. You used to win too when you had a pressure defense that intimidated & sacked qbs. Now, you keep an OTH Canadian DL who should have retired after 2022.

Sorry wbbfan, I respect your opinion except here. Dukes is trash. JBR says he has upside. Where? So much upside he lost the the QB2 to journeyman Nick Arbuckle. Yeah, he beat us.... Well no, Arbuckle didn't beat us, Osh being Osh beat us. That being said, not thrilled with the Patterson signing, either.

Why would you just bring in 2 players at such an important position knowing you're going to cut them anyway?

It was crazy. It's like Shivers lost his mind. He was just talking trash from the time his team touched down at the airport in Calgary to when the Riders left with their tails between their legs on their short flight to Regina. Shivers started the culture with the fanbase we know & love still to this day with his big mouth.

Dukes hasn't really showed that much. He was pretty meh when he started while Kelly was under suspension. Duke's an undersized qb & lost his backup position to Nick Arbuckle.

I'd sign Oakman. I've taken many a long walk off a short pier. As some posters here might attest.

I remember Roy Shivers **** all over the Stamps after he left to become GM of the Riders in 1999. You'd think the Stamps kidnapped him from Las Vegas where he lived & put him to work in the salt mines asomewhere the way he talked about his former team. Wally made Shiver's career by taking an unknown scout & making him asst gm. Never did he once thank Buono or the Stamps for giving him his big break. He was all about saying how the Riders were going to destroy the Stamps on the field, which they never did.

The Eagles have a tremendous OL. . Add tto that a running back like Barkley & no one can stop their run game. Our OL is old, we have an undersized & overrated Center in Kolankowski & a Guard in Neuf who has seen better days. No comparison. Having said that, it still was a better alternative running the ball than letting Zach come back in with a badly mangled finger throwing 2 six picks to blow a close game wide open. Cue the Osh smirk.

Never understood why the first thing a player, coach or GM wants to do is stick it to his old team. The one that gave them their start or made a name for themselves. Does Ted Goveia not have evaluation reports on other CFL free agents? BS.

How happy will Brady be sharing the run game with Logan? This is the final year of his two year deal.

He's changed his fundamentals. He doesn't throw the same way he did in 2018 & 19. Strev's not a linear qb anymore. He's now a rotational thrower.

Would it have been any better here if he had been hired as the Riders HC last year? He's gone. He left. I hope we kick his ass every game we play them.

I'm with you On the fence. He has to finally show he can play in the CFL. Run every play or why bother? Just keep Streveler as the short yardage qb, Promote Wilson or Dolegala to #2.

Jackson should have been the OC but it's Osh. Wait for 3 months just to promote from within.

Well, don't hope too much. Buck was a mentor to Hogan. He coached in that offense for years under Buck. Anyone who thinks he'll be vastly different should think again.

Actually, it's about a $170,000 question. Buck destroyed him that game.
