My point to you is, why write a sentence when a paragraph will do?

If you're going to be Jimmy Olsen cub reporter then you need to verify your sources & provide quotes to back up your story.

Bye Bob (Irving Retirement)
The question that has to be asked is how the Bob Irving retirement will affect Auston Matthews once the season resumes? Will the news of Bob leaving also affect the rest of their roster. Tune into TSN & Sportsnet as they discuss the matter.

They'll probably release him. He'll have missed a third of the season.

Absolutely understand. I know they can't have it.

Walker can take a hike. The guy is probably one of the problems. Just plays to cash a cheque. Who needs that?

I know but more would have been done. I mean, they had a huge gala for Don Jonas after he was traded to Hamilton the following off season.

If teams have little or no money they have to be selective who they sign & for how much. Overspending on one position will mean underspending on another. I think Chris Jones will find out fast that the CFL he knew when he left doesn't exist anymore. I can't see many teams going crazy in free agency. I think some will stay closer to the floor than the ceiling. The Elks are probably flat broke. Until the CFL says no. I have read Murphy has few friends at the CFL HO. So, Ambrosie probably enjoyed giving him the boot.

Bye Bob (Irving Retirement)
You know, if Bob had retired before Covid there would have been a huge retirement banquet for the guy. he'd have been roasted by some of the best Canadian sports & local media writers & broadcasters. It would have been a night of a lotta laughs. Too bad things have changed with Covid because if anyone deserves a sendoff like that, it's Bob Irving.

Teams have lost millions right across the league... except for... Winnipeg... according to a statement by Wade Miller... after the Western Final so why can't we sign players? Edmonton played in front of an empty stadium all season. They're community owned so where are they going to get the money to spend to the cap ceiling. BC never played before a crowd of 13,000. Hufnagel doesn't spend in FA so why would he now? He's prepared to let Maier walk in free agency just like he traded Arbuckle to Ottawa just to keep Mitchell which is so short sighted. It could affect the Stamps for years if Bo's arm is truly finished. The Riders will probably show a loss in 2021 but they'll still be able to spend in FA. The question is, can they keep some of their key free agents? MLSE has the cash & went all in signing players last season but will they again? Ottawa is full of holes so I expect they'll be active. But how many receivers & qbs want to play in LaPo's pop gun offense? Montreal lost millions again & I sense the owner is losing patience so he may be a spender in FA or he may not. The pressure is on Khari Jones to win a playoff game or he's gone. Hamilton has real problems. At least one qb & maybe both may leave to play elsewhere. David Watford may be the starter there next season which must cause fans to want to gag. Guys like Chris Van Zeyl & Brandon Banks among other players may retire or move on. The Cats were built to win this season & not next. Looks like that window has closed. Yes, I hope we sign Jeffcoat, Jefferson & most of our key free agents. But I think we can. I think financially we're doing better than any other team. Perhaps other teams should worry about us instead of us worrying about them.

That very well could be but Elks fans expectations are now super high. Lots of pressure to be successful.

Eddie Steele who I think we all respect when he spoke out abouth Elks organization, in particular Brock Sunderland & then was fired from his analyst job on the Elks radio broadcasts says on twitter that free agents are lining up to sign with Edmonton. That may be a bit of an overstatement I think but we also know free agents want to sign here as well. What's going to be interesting is what Jones does with both Cornelius & Arbuckle, two qbs he never signed & may not want. I think one of them will be gone & he looks to sign an experienced veteran starting qb. Hello, Dane Evans.

2021 Blue Bombers Season
The awards have been cheapened since then. I knew he wouldn't go to Edmonton.

That may have pooched his career. Depends if the CFL rescinds his indefinite suspension as it could become permanent. He had to know what he did would not turn out well & he still went off. Those fans were asshats but still...

Foucault is like Sukh Chungh. Can't pass block or run block. So, naturally he starts. Brutal. His nickname should be Poupee De Chiffon.

So, Murphy made the choice & not Dinwiddie? I never liked the guy. He's been an asshat wherever he went.

I think Huffer threw a TD pass in that game to Joe Pop. I LOVE the Bombers playing playing Hamilton in the Grey Cup. We live rent free in every Ti Cats fans head.

You probably should use quotes as I thought you posted it. I think we had 2 stubborn (& stupid) coaches who misused (is that a word?) the qb positions on their teams. LaPo & Elizondo. No idea what Dinwiddie was thinking. From all accounts, Arbuckle is not toxic & is a good teammate.

Dinwiddie's decision to bench & then trade him had to be like being knifed in the back by his mentor in Calgary. That was perplexing.

Booch, Sunderland gave Arbuckle a contract extension just before he was fired. He is an Elk for at least 2022.

He's been screwed three times. Once by the RedBlacks with LaPo. Second by his former QB Coach Ryan Dinwiddie in Calgary & now HC of the Argos & then with Jaime Elizondo of the Elks who refused to play him. He would have been better off to have stayed with the Stamps. If I was Arbuckle, I'd have felt betrayed moreso by Dinwiddie than anyone else. When he injured his hamstring mid season in Toronto he wasn't playing that badly. I felt he was a better qb than Bethel-Thompson.

LaPo is the big problem. He didn't want Arbuckle. He wanted Nichols. Just a horrible personnel decision that deep sixed their season. The salary cap on coaches saved his bacon.
