  1. I don't like Trump either but people are free to choose who they like.
  2. Oops. Lol. The play is so good you can watch it twice.
  3. THIS... still warms my heart 55 years after it happened. The 109 yard pass & run QB Ken Ploen to Flanker Ken Nielsen TD that sealed the deal for the Bombers in Game 3 of the Best of 3 1965 Western Final series. The play that sent the Bombers to the Grey Cup!!! I have never seen the play before. We were watching the game at my Aunt's house & my parents left before the game was over. I was just 10 years of age & I remember so well hearing the TD on CKY AM radio with an elated Jack Wells excitedly describing what had just happened. Etched in my memory forever like a stone tablet.
  4. A few months ago there were some here who thought places like Alberta were cesspools of Covid 19. Now with 1/4 of the population, you're showing numbers similar to ours. Which shows how complacent most of you were. I sincerely wish you guys the best of luck as you don't have the hospital capacity we do in Alberta & we're concerned here with our numbers. Politics, ideology & politicians are driving this pandemic with their refusal to shut things down.
  5. The end of this damned election can't come soon enough.
  6. If I was running the league, the first thing I'd do is reduce the salary cap to something like $1.5 to $ 2million temporarily so that the tv contract pays all salaries. When I say temporarily that means once fans can return to the stands then player & administrative salaries can rise. The players wouldn't have much of a choice to agree or not. they don't sign then they don't play. I'd reduce the roster to 32 players with 2 practice or taxi squad members. I'd have a 2 week training camp limited to 45 players followed by a limited season. No exhibition games. Have inter squad games instead. How many games during the regular season? I couldn't say. Only enough for revenues to cover the cost of the season. I'd have a head coach & 2 assistants. I'd cut out the big 6 figure salaries some of these GMs & Presidents make to a more realistic number. One scout covering US & Canada as well as access to a list of free agent players in the event of injuries. I'd cut, cut, cut to the bare bones. As far as costs go, both divisions would only play each other in the Grey Cup. It would be all inter divisional play during the regular season. In order for this league to survive, forget about just playing. It's survival first which is why these Draconian measures need to be done. So, rather than a bubble in a city where everyone plays which may be the best option, it is prohibitively expensive, Therefore, I think you could have teams play out of their home stadiums as long as they're empty & a team bubble is put in place in each CFL city like we see in the NFL & MLB. They had some infections but so far (in a country being ravaged by Covid 19) they seem to be doing okay. MLB crowned a World Series champion 2 nights ago. The CFL should research what those 2 leagues did & how they worked it. A lot of coaches, GMs, Presidents & players may decide to do something else because of the reduced salaries & leave. But the harsh reality is there isn't a choice. Besides, sometimes when one door closes another one opens. New people mean new ideas. Others will take their place. Anyway, right or wrong that is how I see it.
  7. Sad to hear. Yeah, he loved the CFL for sure. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the Lions now.
  8. When my son played Juco in california & then later at SFU, he used to lead the qbs in 3, 5 & 7 step drop drills as well as doing a lot of footwork drills when the team went to Special Teams part of practice. He didn't want to lose the skill he had dropping back from center he had learned inn high school because college was total gun snap out of the Spread when passing. So, he'd teach the other qbs the drills he used so they could all work each other out when there was downtime for them at practice.
  9. That's a beautiful ball park. It would be a shame if that happens.
  10. These guys seem more pro ready to step into their NFL careers then qbs a generation or 2 ago. Despite the fact they play 4 years in the gun formation running the spread offense. But the NFL has changed as well making it easier for these highly drafted kids to succeed. More plays out of the Gun & Pistol & the Spread.
  11. The fool might have shot himself if any of those bullets riccocheted. Lawrence will end up in New York with the Jets or Giants. My condolences to the kid.
  12. I don't want to take it to PM's. I want him to quit hounding me. 17to85 should just leave me alone about my voting choice.
  13. You completely threw your vote away & in the end helped get Kenney elected. So, you lecturing me is a joke.
  14. So, you vote for the fringe party with a bunch of political rejects & you say it's okay but ignore the fact that 9% of the vote the Alberta Party received would have changed the outcome of the election for the NDP as the left's vote was split. You say that people are free to vote for the person they want. Then you turn around & criticize me for my choice . You're an idiot & a hypocrite.
  15. Sometimes in a democratic election you don't get the results you like. It feels like you've been punched in the face when the party you support loses. That is what living in a democracy is about. You live with it & try to change things in 4 years time. And then there is just plain STUPID which describes you as a voter. You actually wasted your vote on a fringe party that got just 9% of the popular vote. That has no real leader, no money, no identity, no real platform & no chance of ever electing another single MLA to the legislature. And you're criticizing me? That is a joke. A vote for the Alberta Party was really a vote for the UCP. Take that 9% & give it to the NDP & they'd have had 43% of ther popular vote instead of 34%. Maybe they'd have won or at the very least made the UCP a minority government. You & other Albertans who supported the Alberta Party helped Jason Kenney get elected. Now, I can say that I know someone who actually voted for the Alberta Party. Well done.... Lol.
  16. Yeah, your precious NDP. Don't tell me you never voted for them as that is a lie. If it quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. You quack here louder than anyone.
  17. I think Singh knows that if an election were held tomorrow many NDP supporters would votr Liberal. They would lose seats. Singh would be finished.
  18. I have read the NDP as a party is broke. They can't afford to fight another election so the fix is in. The New Democrats will prop up the Liberals for a long time. Trudeau knows it which is why he is governing like he has a majority.
  19. If we have a season in 2021, Mikey will have to take a HUGE pay cut. Maybe as much as 50%. I think Hervey leaving speaks to the financial situation of the CFL. No season this year. The league ghosting media & fans about next season. Absolutely nothing being said regarding plans for 2021 other than a bubble in Edmonton... Edmonton??? They were supposed to have a bubble in Winnipeg last season but had no money, remember? Nothing has changed.
